You will function as a senior member of the Data Loss Prevention (DLP) security team within Enterprise Messaging and function as a senior Information Security Engineer. This important role involves working closely with your colleagues on the Data Loss prevention Security team to provide engineering support across our Symantec Data Loss prevention, ICA, UEBA solutions both on-prem and in the cloud.
As a senior Information Security engineer, you will be expected to possess strong hands-on experience and technical expertise with the following duties and roles: Testing, validating, configuring, and certifying vulnerability patches, software upgrades, etc. You will also be required to provide capacity management, infrastructure upgrade/patching activities, leading efforts to upgrade to new versions, change management, testing, mail routing concepts, strategy planning, and providing level 4 support, On-Call management, Experience with Symantec DLP, ICA, UEBA are a must. You will also closely work with vendors and manufacturers for maintenance support, implementation, and configuration of current environment.
- Lead or participate in the design, implementation and oversight of moderately complex data protection security solutions.
- Provide security consultation for internal line of business partners to ensure conformity with corporate security policies and industry best practices and standards for data protection.
- Use your Subject Matter Expert (SME) knowledge to test and implement solutions within data protection and data loss prevention security technologies.
- Design and maintain engineering-level documentation pertaining to data protection solutions.
- Analyze and make recommendations for implementation of security controls relative to data protection, including security log review and correlation, access management, threat response, etc.
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
- 4+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Subject matter expertise on Symantec DLP Solution specially on UEBA and 4 + Years of experience on DLP solutions like Symantec DLP,
- 3+ years of experience installing and maintaining applications in both Linux and Windows server environments.
- 3+ years of experience working with data loss prevention or data protection technologies.
- 1+ year of large enterprise experience.
- Advance to expertise level of knowledge on DLP specific UEBA.
- Experience in Change, Incident, Problem management.
- Provide 24x7 support for DLP applications (On-call management)
- Engineering and operational management of all users facing Data loss prevention security services
- Software Life Cycle Management (DLP solutions) within the enterprise
- Accountable for the strategy, buildout, and ongoing oversite and management for Data Loss Prevention (DLP), including:
- HPI-specific infrastructure install
- Application testing & deployment
- Initial integration with messaging environments
- Integration with DLP-specific UEBA & AR solutions implementation
- Vendor application release deployments (upgrade, MP, RU, etc.)
- Vulnerability Remediation
- Availability monitoring and response
- Sustainment of enterprise technical requirements (e.g. Splunk logging, load balancing, proxy/messaging environments, etc.)
- HSM integration deployment
- DC Migration implementation
- Experience implementing or managing a Symantec Data Loss Prevention application environment; especially endpoint agent, data at rest, network inspection, and cloud deployment and configuration.
- Strong Information Security technical skills and understanding of data protection best practices and policies
- Experience working with vendors to achieve vulnerability remediation, hotfix deployment, and other time critical strategic initiatives.
- Experience creating and maintaining bash, PowerShell and/or Python scripts
- Experience managing technical business processes such as: change management, business continuity planning, vulnerability remediation, infrastructure procurement, large technical project coordination, etc.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and collaboratively
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to think creatively to find innovative solutions to complex analytical questions
- Energetic self-starter who proactively takes initiative, remains curious, and has a genuine interest in learning and growth.
- Ability to participate in an on-call rotation
- Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
