About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Independent Testing Specialist in the Independent Testing & Validation (IT&V) Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) group within the Corporate Risk organization. The Independent Testing & Validation team is responsible for the development and design of methodologies and standards for review activities across the Enterprise in alignment with the Risk Management Framework and ensuring effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs, risks, and controls according to standards and other applicable policies.
The Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) Testing & Validation team is seeking a Senior Independent Testing Specialist with the Cross Coverage and Centralized Issue Validation Team to support issue validation testing activities. The Senior Independent Testing Specialist will be accountable for developing and executing independent control testing over operational and compliance risks. Testing review activities are performed, and results are documented in templates and systems of record based on applicable policies, standards, and guidance documentation. The testing process may involve conducting and documenting walkthroughs of controls, developing test scripts and determining the appropriate artifacts for sampling to assess the design and operating effectiveness of the control(s). The right candidate will be responsible for evaluations of controls to ensure identification of control deficiencies, providing insight into emerging risks while operating in a very dynamic manner, and connecting and building relationships with key partners. This role requires attention to detail, strong organizational skills, communication skills and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders across the business group or Enterprise.

In this role, you will:
- Lead or participate in moderate to high risk or complex review activities in a matrixed environment and communicate emerging risks to management within Independent Testing
- Contribute to large scale planning related to Independent Testing deliverables
- Review and research moderately complex potential corrective actions, and follow through on reporting, escalation, and resolution
- Ensure effective and appropriate testing, validation, and documentation of review activities for risk programs and controls according to standards and other applicable policies
- Resolve moderately complex issues and lead team to meet Independent Testing deliverables while leveraging solid understanding of risk management framework and the risk and control environment
- Collaborate and consult with colleagues, internal partners, management and lines of business regarding risk management
- 4+ years of Independent Testing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Minimum 2 years of experience in audit, risk, or compliance testing.
- Experience in risk management, control testing, issue identification and validation, compliance, operational risk, internal audit, business process management, risk and control self-assessment, financial crimes etc.)
- Public Accounting experience or Big 4 accounting firm experience a plus.
- Ability to identify issues, risk and escalate to the appropriate party
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Full testing lifecycle experience that includes determining scope, designing test scripts, executing tests, identifying and escalating issues and risks, and documenting and reporting results
- Issues management, validation and tracking
- Experience leading testing engagements, preferably of large scope, while leading other testers and resources
- Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence
- Experience writing reports for senior leadership audience level
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to research trends and analyze data.
- Interested in Wealth Management business and ability to learn complex processes quickly.

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
