About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Finance Senior Analyst to join the Commercial Banking Finance, Financial Planning and Analysis team.

Commercial Banking Finance provides strategic and solution-focused financial advice and guidance to business and functional leaders and partners within Commercial Banking.

The Commercial Banking Financial Planning and Analysis (CB FP&A) team is responsible for three broad functions: reporting and analysis, forecasting, and governance. The financial reporting and analysis team provides reporting and analytics for the overall CB business including monthly actuals reporting, forecast preparation and reporting, and key meeting support (business reviews, leadership offsite, etc.). The forecasting team executes the monthly 9 quarter forecasts and the annual regulatory forecasts. And finally, the CB governance team oversees high priority control processes including RCSA and model/EUCT governance.

Pricing and Profitability

This role will support the Pricing and Profitability team within Commercial Banking FP&A. The role supports a broad range of activities focused on providing Commercial Bank Financial data and metrics to Pricing and Profitability tools. The candidate will have the opportunity to refine their analytical skills using Excel, Alteryx, Power BI, PowerPoint and Essbase as well as deepen their knowledge of Commercial Banking strategy, products and customers while gaining exposure to how the Commercial Bank measures Profitability.

In this role, you will:
  • Execute on periodic refreshes of Commercial Banking non-interest income costs and other metrics used in Pricing and Profitability tools
  • Develop strong partner relationships with CB Finance and interfacing organizations (LOB Finance, LOB, CIB Finance, CB Analytics, and audit)
  • Provide insight and help refine or develop methodologies for cost mapping
  • Perform ad-hoc analytics to support business and management decisions
  • Prepare presentations to concisely summarize and present results of complex topics
  • Maintain appropriate governance activities and documentation
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of experience in a Finance and/or Accounting role, ideally supporting Commercial Banking
  • Strong analytical and critical thinking skills and ability to prepare and present analysis and recommendations
  • 2+ years of professional experience with Alteryx and/or Power BI
  • Ability to successfully operate in a complex and matrixed environment
  • Ability to articulate issues, risks, and proposed solutions to various levels of staff and management
  • Ability to effectively assess stakeholder, partner, or client needs while consulting, building solutions, and developing and fostering strong partnerships
  • Ability to influence and partner with senior business leaders to gain commitment to accomplish business goals
  • Sense of urgency, passion for results, and personal accountability for achievement
Job Expectations:

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $179,200.00
