About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Enterprise Risk Specialist in the Climate Risk Oversight Team

The Climate Risk Oversight Team is responsible for managing the execution of Enterprise Risk's plan to embed climate considerations into the company's risk management framework. The plan consists of a number of initiatives to enhance risk management practices to identify, measure, monitor, report and manage the financial and non-financial risks posed by climate change. The team is looking for a highly motivated individual that will be responsible for a variety of climate-related risk activities that support the Climate Risk Oversight Team's remit.

  • Support the implementation of Corporate Risk's climate integration enhancement plans across multiple initiatives, supporting policy integration initiatives,
  • Contribute to the development of education, awareness, and communication activities to promote integration of climate considerations into risk management programs and deepen institutional knowledge. This involves conducting directed external climate related research and peer reviews to support and/or enhance the ongoing initiatives.
  • Provide support and development of climate-related risk reporting, risk metrics, scenario analysis & stress testing and data workstreams through working collaboratively across second line as required
  • Support the Lead Officer for gathering business requirements into technical requirements as required.
  • Understand team's key priorities to identify opportunities with the core team.
  • Support the data integration and key deliverables from multiple initiatives and support in documenting processes.
  • Perform governance and oversight routines for risk documentation including review and publication of key control desktop procedures
  • Perform review/analysis of policy changes, identify impacts, and coordinate implementation
  • Support UAT/ production cycles prior to roll out for technological related deliverables
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Risk Management experience (includes Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in finance, economics or data / analytics related major
  • 2+ years of experience in banking or analytics related industry
  • Expertise in creating reports in Excel & PowerPoint
  • Basic understanding of AGILE tools like JIRA
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Strong desire to learn climate / sustainability related risks & opportunities
  • Knowledge of Tableau Reporting Tool
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills and storyboarding
  • Experience working in a large enterprise environment
  • Ability to translate and present complex risk topics in a manner that educates, enhances understanding, and influence decisions
  • Knowledge and understanding of ever-evolving regulatory environments and governance processes
  • Highly proactive, able to work both independently and within a collaborative team-oriented environment using sound judgment in decision-making
  • Experience conducting meetings, presentations, and status reporting
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Knowledge and understanding of banking and related market developments (not sure what economic climate means)
  • Flexibility and ability to reprioritize projects and deliver on quick timelines
  • Strong planning / organizational skills.
