About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist in the Merchant Services team as part of Corporate Risk and will primarily focus on managing credit risk over First Line activities including credit approval of new customer activity, portfolio management and processing activities. A successful candidate will have strong credit and data analysis skills, superb communication, project management experience and demonstrated success driving innovative solutions to analytic challenges.
In this role, you will:
- Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk
- Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks
- Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
- Receive direction from leaders
- Exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
- Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Interact with internal customers

- 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 3+ years of commercial credit experience, in a secured lending environment, either asset based or cash flow lending
- Commercial lending experience with subject matter expertise in fundamental cash flow analysis, understanding credit risks in changing economic environments both on a micro and macro level
- A BS/BA degree or higher
- Excellent collaboration, communication and project management skills
- Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions
- Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
- Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment; strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Familiarity with credit policy, procedure and control environments
- Ability to work independently with minimal direction; ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
- Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
