The Senior Credit Risk Specialist role will be part of the Home Lending Servicing Risk (HLSR) team and will primarily focus on managing credit risk within Home Lending by performing complex data analysis to monitor and develop Home Lending credit strategies, models, and programs. The successful candidate will have strong data analysis skills, superb communication, and demonstrated success driving innovative solutions to analytic challenges.

In this role, you will:
  • Perform complex data analysis to support Home Lending credit strategies, models, and programs
  • Determine accuracy and relevancy of information to effectively generate and evaluate conclusions and/or recommend alternatives
  • Review and analyze complex strategies, programs and policies with a direct and significant impact on risk appetite and culture
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Collaborate with internal business partners to ensure flawless data process, analysis and accurate credit strategy implementation
  • Interact with internal and external customers
  • Interact with Audit, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
  • Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Receive direction from leaders, and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Develop and support risk process control and documentation development and/or enhancements.
Required Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • A BS/BA degree or higher
  • 3+ years of SAS and/or SQL programming experience
  • Experience in Python, Tableau
  • Credit strategy and/or score model experience
  • Home Lending data and analytics experience
  • Home lending experience with subject matter expertise in Servicing ie: collections, loss mitigation, foreclosure, REO, bankruptcy, loss processing
  • Outstanding problem-solving skills with the ability to exercise independent judgment to identify and resolve problems
  • Adept at translating technical output into business language
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Excellent collaboration and communication skills. Ability to clearly and concisely communicate (both written and verbal) with business partners, peers and senior management and lead discussions.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal direction; ability to exercise independent judgment and apply prudent risk mitigation principles
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Intermediate Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint) skills

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
