About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Credit Risk Specialist in Consumer Lending as part of Corporate Risk to contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks. The Senior Credit Risk Specialist will support Consumer Cards Origination risk strategies and analytics.

The senior Credit Risk Specialist will be responsible to analyze consumer credit data to support decision making process and enhance strategies. Solid understanding of consumer behavior, credit risk assessment and driving improvement to the credit risk framework model and operations

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and identify opportunity for risk mitigation strategies within Credit Risk and optimize overall credit risk operation and framework.
  • Use your business acumen and analytical experience to monitor trends, perform root cause analyses, and proactively prescribe strategies to capture opportunities to drive business results
  • Effectively moderately collaborate and consult in a matrix organization with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Contribute to credit performance, potential or emerging risks
  • Review and analyze moderately complex processes and projects, business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Communicate analytical findings and recommendations across multiple levels of the organization
  • Receive direction from leaders and interact with internal customers
  • Effectively collaborate and consult in a matrix organization with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:

  • 4+ years of Credit Risk experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Data Science, Statistics, Economics, Mathematics, Finance or related field.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex datasets and draw actionable insights
  • 2+ years of strong programing skills in Python/SAS/SQL with hands on experience handling large datasets
  • 1+ year of statistical analysis and understanding of Machine Learning techniques
  • Experience in managing originations/account management decision engine strategies
  • Understanding on P&L drivers for credit card/other unsecured lending products
  • Knowledge and understanding of databases and data mining techniques
  • Self-motivated with strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to articulate complex concepts in a clear manner
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 10% of the time.
  • Willingness to work on-site at stated location on the job opening.
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $164,400.00
