About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Control Management Specialist
In this role, you will:
- Participate in identifying, assessing, managing, and mitigating current and emerging risk exposures within Control Management functional area
- Provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and business controls
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Provide guidance to business groups on the development, implementation, and monitoring of business specific programs to identify, assess, and mitigate risk
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations

- 4+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong understanding of Agile technology development methodologies
- Tool experience in SQL, Power-Query, Python, Alteryx experience will be a great plus
- Experience in risk management technology / engineering or 8+ years of financial services industry experience, of which direct experience in risk management technology / engineering in a regulatory environment.
- Ability to prioritize and manage competing priorities without loss of quality or execution
- Strong listening and communications skills (both written and oral) with the ability to convey complex information and ideas, including complex data sets, both simply and clearly
- Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders as well as across various levels within the organization.
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships within the BG/EFs, Technology / Engineering and with Corporate Risk
- Self-starter, with a focus on action execution and problem solving
- Agile mindset and well versed with agile practices and ceremonies, Proficient in tolls such as Jira, confluence
- Proficient in advanced data analysis and drawing insights from data - to contribute on root-cause analysis for defects, data driven feature prioritization, perform data control checks
- Experience in building regression testing using Selenium or other testing automation tool
- Proficient in Microsoft office suites, especially Word, excel, PowerPoint and Visio - to contribute to documentation
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report impact of decisions and business controls to the relevant business group and enterprise function.
- Work on supporting change management and other associated actions in Service Now related to issues management.
- Engage with all levels of roles across the business group and serve as an experienced advisor in designing and implementing risk mitigation strategies, business processes, and controls that mitigate risks and address regulatory requirements
