About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly skilled, experienced Senior Cloud Engineer to join our Azure Cloud AI/ML & Middleware engineering team. This individual will primarily focus on the design, testing, documentation, and strategic planning of Azure AI/ML & Middleware Services across a large-scale organization. This role requires an unwavering focus to ensure that the Azure AI/ML & Middleware offerings needs of the business are met while adhering to highest standards of security and operational sustainability across multiple business units.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within technical domain environments
  • Contribute to large scale planning of strategies
  • Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs associated with technology domain, including upgrades and deployments
  • Review moderately complex technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of technologies and procedures
  • Resolve moderately complex issues and lead a team to meet existing client needs or potential new clients needs while leveraging solid understanding of the function, policies, procedures, or compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to resolve technical challenges and achieve goals
  • Lead projects and act as an escalation point, provide guidance and direction to less experienced staff

  • 4+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of proficiency in programming or scripting languages: Python, Bash, PowerShell, Golang, Java
  • Cloud Professional Experience in Azure, spanning network, security, applications, serverless, and containers, identity and access management, compute
  • Experience in infrastructure as code tools: Terraform, Terraform Enterprise and/or Cloud, Azure ARM.
  • Experience in Cloud AI/ML resources in Azure or AWS or GCP.
Desired Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with Agile and DevOps methodologies and tools: JIRA, Confluence
  • CI/CD tools: Jenkins, Artifactory, SonarQube, Github Actions, CodeBuild/CodePipeline, or Azure DevOps.
  • Version Control: GitHub, GitLab, BitBucket
  • Working understanding of network protocols
  • Working knowledge of security best practices
  • Self-Starter with attention to detail, led by influence and able to prioritize to get things done.
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestrations (e.g., Kubernetes/Docker/OpenShift/Helm)
  • Mentor and train fellow junior members.
  • Strong communication and teamwork skills.
