About this role:

At Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Business Accountability Specialist within the Commercial Banking Business Risk Execution Team to join the Records Management Program Team as a Record Coordinator.

The Senior Business Accountability Specialist role will be responsible for the front-line role of a Records Coordinator for one or more Commercial Banking Lines of business. The Records Coordinator executes the requirements of relevant regulations, rules, and policies relating to Information Risk Management for both physical records and eRecords.

In this role, you will:

  • Provide oversight of physical records inventories and supporting metadata
  • Review access to Records Management Systems
  • Evaluate Business processes for records and ensure accurate capture of record classifications based on laws/rules and regulations.
  • Support Application Business Owners with evaluating their applications for records through the completion of Record Classification Application Assessments.
  • Support Business Information Owners in evaluating records stored within unstructured environments to identify correct record classification.
  • Support Business Information Owners with the creation of records management controls and processes to move documents to compliant archival solutions.
  • Perform control activities necessary to mitigate information management risks.
  • Address gaps or inadequacies in records management risks.
  • Collaborate across the broader Records and Document Management Team to support projects focused on records management risk remediation and establishing consistent document management processes.
  • Lead special projects as needed.
  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and deliverables within business and contribute to large-scale, cross-functional planning related to mitigation of current and emerging business risk issues and concerns
  • Assess, analyze, and design moderately complex controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring
  • Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level managers to address current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance or support in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
  • Partner with peers and the business in interactions with external parties to support appropriateness and timeliness of response, and effectiveness of communications and materials
  • May serve as a mentor for lower-level staff

  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with document management processes relating to Wholesale records.
  • Experience with the physical and/or electronic records.
  • Experience with record classification with respect to Records Management Laws/Rules/Regulations.
  • Experience relating to implementation of application eRecords capabilities (retention and purge).
  • Experience with FileNet and/or Documentum archival solutions.
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Knowledge and understanding of operational risk management or compliance methods.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to read, analyze, and interpret documents/data to make substantiated risk-based decisions.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
