Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Analytic Consultant

In this role, you will:

  • Consult, review and research moderately complex business, operational, and technical challenges that require an in-depth evaluation of variable data factors
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
  • Lead or participate on large cross group projects
  • Mentor less experienced staff
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, external contractors, and mid-level managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Leverage a solid understanding of compliance and risk management requirements for supported area

  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of business systems analysis experience
  • 4+ years of data warehouse experience
  • 4+ years of data modelling experience
  • 5+ years of SQL/Teradata experience
  • 2+ years of Linux experience
  • 2+ years of Alteryx experience
  • 2+ years of SAS experience
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong presentation, communication, writing and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience working with business leaders and being able to translate needs into technical requirements.
  • Experience with GCP will be an added advantage
Job Expectations:
  • Drive the requirements design and elicitation for small and large data initiatives
  • Perform moderately complex data analysis to support and drive strategic initiatives and business needs
  • Develop a deep understanding of technical systems and business processes to extract data driven insights while identifying opportunities for engineering enhancements
  • Lead or participate on large cross group project
  • Collaborate across people, processes, and technology/tools within a highly intensive and complex data environment
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership.
  • Communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats
  • Be comfortable presenting and tailoring communication approaches based on the audience
  • Present findings and solutions to contribute to business success
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers
  • Build functional systems design documentation
  • Document data elements, mapping and metrics for traceability/lineage and use in reports
  • Document and maintain metadata
  • Prepare specifications for system changes
  • Create documentation for training, help resolve questions and recommend changes
  • Establish partnership with insights and reporting teams, lines of business, technology and allegation management teams.
  • Communicate effectively, in both written and verbal formats
  • Be a strong influencer and consensus builder with a positive attitude, who motivates self and others
  • Collaborate across people, processes, and technology/tools within a highly intensive and complex data environment
