This Wealth and Investment Management (WIM) RIA Technology Director will be responsible for the management and leadership of the teams developing and supporting the new RIA and Investment Custody platform. Investment Solutions aligns Wealth & Investment Management's (WIM) investment expertise, solutions, and product offerings into a single center of excellence which results in an enhanced and more consistent advisor and client experience.

As a senior leader, you will be a key part of the extended WIM Technology (WIMT) leadership team, defining and executing on the overall Technology and WIM product strategy. You will establish key relationships and influence at a senior level across all key functions in Technology, WIM (business and product management leaders), Risk, Compliance and key vendors.

In this role, you will:
  • Manage a team of engineering managers and engineering leads
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities
  • Build support for strategies with business and technology leaders
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of software engineering practices
  • Provide oversight to software craftsmanship, security, availability, resilience, and scalability of solutions developed by the teams or third party providers
  • Identify financial management and strategic resourcing
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering talent
  • Lead implementation of projects and encourage engineering innovation
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives
  • Interface with external agencies, regulatory bodies or industry forums
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Technology Strategic Leadership
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy
Required Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Technology Strategic Leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 8+ years of Investment experience, such as RIA experience
  • 4+ years of leading architecture, development, integration, product, business teams and technology functions at every layer of the technology stack while understating technical requirements
  • Experience and knowledge with building and maintaining SAS and B2B platforms
  • 4+ years of executive leadership experience managing and building complex technology teams of large scale, including senior managers, managers, individual contributors, and vendor resources
  • 4+ years of exceptional communication and prolifically with experience communicating complex technical information skills, with the ability to create compelling executive-level presentations, tell stories and build roadmaps that engage stakeholders, and convey complex concepts in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Experience managing large technology development efforts within a major line of business
  • Experience in effective management of technology financials
  • Demonstrated ability leading multi-year large scale buildout of platforms for new and existing programs
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel 20% of the time
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$207,900.00 - $431,900.00
