We are seeking a Process Engineering professional to join as a Process Engineering Associate to help develop and deliver a world class Business Process Management (BPM) capability to the Wells Fargo Corporate Risk enterprise function. This position will work within a team and perform a role such as process architect, production support, process modeler, process librarian and/or quality assurance.

The Process Engineering Associate will be responsible for the creation and maintenance of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Service Models. This includes partnering with stakeholders across Corporate Risk and performing data gathering, review, and facilitation of the production of the RCSA Service Models. Additionally, provide strategic oversight of process improvement or re-engineering support of the control environment.

The Process Engineering Associate will be responsible for driving intake activities and partnering with Corporate Risk constituents to help evaluate needs and navigate fit for purpose process improvement solutions. This Process Engineering Team requires an understanding of the overall control environment strategy and is well versed in the process improvement/re-engineering services, digital tools, and platforms.

In this role, you will:
  • Support process improvement initiatives, reviews, researches, compiles information, tests, and evaluates process and workflow data
  • Prepare process requirements
  • Provide operational and analytical support for Process Engineers
  • Assist in identifying gaps and efficiency opportunities
  • Make recommendations based on analyses
  • Provide process updates with business partners, to ensure compliance with operative policies and regulations
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
  • Support process improvement initiatives, reviews, research, compiles information, tests, and evaluates process and workflow data

  • Take ownership of creating/amending base file for RAUs during RCSA journey
  • Create and update service models and L4 process models
  • Take ownership of post affirmation activities during RCSA journey
  • Provide process updates with business partners, to ensure compliance with operative policies and regulations
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve business objectives / goals
  • Interact with internal customers
  • Receive direction from leaders and exercise independent judgment while developing the knowledge to understand function, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ months of Process Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree with relevant experience in financial institutions
  • Knowledge and understanding of Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) discipline
  • Knowledge and understanding of Business Process Management Notation (BPMN) software such as iGrafx
  • Facilitation skills
  • LEAN/Six Sigma certification or Wells Fargo business process management endorsement
  • Strong analytical skill with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to support complex projects in a large enterprise environment
  • Strong interpersonal, influencing, and communications skills (oral & written) with an ability to interact effectively with stakeholders and the ability to effectively manage & build relationships
Job Expectations:
  • Experience in current state process modeling, process re-engineering and future state workflow modeling
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and risk management
  • Excellent analytical, problem solving, and root cause analysis skills
  • Ability to work effectively with leadership teams and multiple stakeholders
  • BPMN knowledge and working experience along with other Business Process Management software and tools such as PEGA, ORACLE, TIBCO or Asana
  • Familiarization with Agile tools like JIRA, CA Rally
  • Knowledge and expertise in risk management projects
  • Experience with enterprise capabilities & processes
