About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a highly motivated, dynamic individual to fill a Principal Cloud Engineer role for the Technology of the Chief Operating Office. This role will lead the Cloud migration in 2025 for Tanzu Application Service/Tanzu Kubernetes Grid Integrated Edition (TAS/TKGI) to the OpenShift Container Platform (OCP).

In this role you will:

  • Be a key leader in the setting up of OCP clusters
  • Create automation to allow streamlined onboarding of the applications to OCP
  • Create automation for scanning the current state of the applications and for application code conversion
  • Be a champion for automated testing frameworks.
  • Provide direction, expertise, and recommendations to drive innovative business solutions leveraging the technical products, capabilities, and advancements
  • Translate advanced technology topics into simpler business language and clearly articulate the value proposition
  • Lead resolution of highly complex challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas within the enterprise
  • Partner with engineering, architecture, platform, and infrastructure teams to deliver scalable, sustainable solutions

  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 7+ years of application development using modern architecture stack and tooling.
  • 5+ years of microservices based architecture and deployment of application using automated pipelines (Harness, Jenkins)
  • 3+ years of experience in cloud adoption, enablement, or technical consulting roles within technology organizations
  • 3+ years of Kubernetes experience
  • 3+ years of strong understanding of multi-cloud environments (Azure, GCP, OpenShift) and hands-on experience with cloud-native development and Cloud migration of applications
Desired Qualifications:
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., Azure Solutions Architect, Google Professional Cloud Architect, OpenShift Administrator)
  • Experience in cloud adoption, enablement, or technical consulting roles within technology organizations
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and modern CI/CD tooling
  • Demonstrated experience in technical project management or program management related to cloud initiatives
  • Proven expertise in solutions architecture and cloud onboarding processes
  • Leading change in a large corporate technology environment with a focus on cloud function

Salary info:

$144,400-$300,000 (all posted locations)
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship.
  • Hybrid schedule (3 days in office, 2 days remote)

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
