About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Mobile Application Software Engineering Manager to join the Mobile App development team.

In this role, you will:

o Manage, coach, and develop Wells Fargo Retail Mobile App development teams to build high quality mobile and web interfaces using modern iOS, Android and Web technology

o Ensure adherence to the Banking Platform Architecture, and meeting non-functional requirements with each release

o Engage with system architects, software architect, agile/scrum team and engineers to incorporate Wells Fargo Technology technical strategies, while understanding next generation domain architecture to enable application migration paths to target architecture, for example application modernization, continuous performance improvement and deployment/release strategy.

o Function as the technical representative for the product during cross-team collaborative efforts and planning

o Identify and recommend opportunities for driving resolution of technology roadblocks including code, build and deployment while also managing overall software development cycle and security standards

o Act as an escalation partner for scrum masters and the teams to make decisions and help remove impediments, obstacles, and friction while encouraging constant learning, experimentation, and continual improvement culture

o Build engineering skills side-by-side in the codebase, conduct peer reviews to evaluate quality and solution alignment to technical direction, and guide design, as needed

o Interpret, develop, and ensure security, stability, and scalability within functions of technology with low to moderate complexity, as well as identify, manage, and mitigate technology and enterprise risk

o Collaborate and consult with the Product Managers/Product Owners to drive user satisfaction, promote innovative solutions, generate corporate value and articulate technical strategy while being a solid advocate of agile and DevOps practices

o Interact directly with third party vendors and technology service providers

o Achieve cost savings through better management of internal resources.

o Hire, mentor and guide talent development of direct reports to build the specialized domain experience and deliver innovative solutions.

Required Qualifications:

o 13+ years of Specialty Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, management, education

o 10+ years of Mobile App Native Development experience

o 8+ years of experience releasing Mobile Apps and working with respective tools (Jenkins, App Store, Gradle, Fastlane, BlackDuck, CheckMarx, SonarQube)

o 7+ years of experience acting as an expert within all aspects of the SDLC lifecycle

o 2+ years of experience managing global midsize (50-100) teams

o 2+ years of experience coordinating with other managers globally creating roadmaps, operational processes, and setting standards of operational deliveries

Desired Qualifications:

o Grow Mobile (Android/iOS) Development team, set team roadmap, establish Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and coordinate resources with cross-functional partners.

o Hands-on Mobile App development with experience in accessibility implementation.

o Ability to negotiate, influence, and collaborate to build successful relationships

o Knowledge and understanding of Information Technology governance risk and compliance processes such as policies, control standards, risk management concepts, or information security

o Ability to motivate a team and lead strategic initiatives, collaborating across a large organization and multi-tasking as required

o Ability to influence and build relationships with LOB stakeholders, external service providers, and architecture teams

o Ability to articulate and brand the team with leaders and motivate team for IP filing and participate in enterprise initiatives

o Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill

Job Expectations:

o Ability to travel up to 10% of the time

o Willingness to work on-site at stated location
