About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lending Operations Manager on the Specialty Servicing Team within Commercial Banking Operations.
This role will ensure the timely delivery of maintenance requests, monthly reporting deliverables, and other work items within established SLAs, with weekly accuracy and SLA reporting to senior leaders.
The Lending Operations Manager will be responsible for overseeing our Specialized Servicing team which support several lines of businesses including but not limited to, SPG, CMLSF, SBA and Canada Bi-Lateral servicing. The businesses are supported within servicing system Loan IQ (Finastra) and Automated Financial Systems (AFS). The team is accountable for monetary and non-monetary activities. The leader must ensure procedures and controls are adhered to mitigate risk, key metric targets are met, work distribution is effective, talent management, transformation activities, and more.

In this role, you will:
- Manage the activities of a Specialty Servicing team responsible for loan processing, documentation, pre-closing or closing tasks, loan monitoring, and loan servicing
- Engage stakeholders and internal partners associated with the Lending Operations functional area
- Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development within Lending Operations functional area
- Participate in the formulation and implementation of new and revised systems, policies, and guidelines
- Oversee implementation of practices to ensure compliance with Wells Fargo legal, investor, regulatory, or business policies
- Make credit decisions and resolve issues regarding performance of a business unit or functional area to ensure business objectives are met
- Interpret and develop policies and procedures for functional areas with low to moderate complexity, and with accountability for special portfolio segments requiring focused management
- Collaborate and consult with Lending Operations peers, colleagues, and multiple level managers accountable for providing quality customer service to internal or external customers
- Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Lending Operations
- Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
- 4+ years of Transactions and Processing experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of Leadership experience
- Extensive Knowledge and Processing Experience within Loan IQ (LIQ)
- Experience managing a high production volume team expected to execute with accuracy and meeting target Service Level Agreement (SLA)
- Experience managing internal relationship and flawlessly executing on meeting our client expectations
- Proficient in data analytics using Power BI, Tableau, and/or Excel
- Ability to work collaboratively with bankers, QA, risk, legal teams, and internal partners
- Ability to work with senior leaders on staffing and capacity planning
- Project coordination experience
- Strong attention to detail
