About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Compliance Officer to support our Chief Technology Officer (CTO) & Chief Information security Office (CISO) groups within Enterprise Technology. This individual will be responsible for assessing and enhancing the major compliance requirements and building out enhanced Compliance advisory and support routines. This individual contributor will develop subject matter expertise to enhance collaboration and communication, building relationships with front-line business and control partners to mitigate compliance risk.

In this role, you will:

  • Assist with the creation of Technology and Cyber major compliance requirements drive compliance with federal, state, agency, legal and regulatory and Corporate Policy requirements.
  • Support the Risk and Control Self-Assessment process as Compliance lead for CTO & CISO Risk Accessible Units.
  • Establish compliance advisory and support routines with Technology leadership in CTO & CISO organizations.
  • Provide oversight and monitoring of Technology compliance programs
  • Provide compliance risk expertise and consulting for Technology projects and initiatives with moderate to high risk, over multiple business lines
  • Provide direction to the business on effectively managing regulatory change
  • Monitor the reporting, escalation, and timely remediation of issues, deficiencies or regulatory matters regarding compliance risk management
  • Work with complex business units, rules and regulations on compliance matters
  • Interface with Operational Risk, Legal, external agencies, and regulatory bodies on risk related topics
  • Oversee the Front Line's execution and challenge appropriately on compliance related decisions

  • 5+ years of Compliance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 2+ years of technology and/or cyber security risk experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic and international laws and frameworks applicable to financial institutions technology, information security and business resilience functions such as FFIEC handbooks, GLBA, HIPAA, COBIT & Cyber Risk Institute.
  • Knowledge and understanding of domestic and international privacy laws
  • Risk and Control Self-Assessment (RCSA) Program experience
  • Ability to draft materials for senior management in a clear and concise manner
  • Ability to adapt to changing and competing priorities in a continually evolving area of risk
  • Self-motivated, detail oriented, and organized with the ability to successfully work on several unrelated projects at the same time
  • Ability to independently provide credible challenge, while exercising sound judgment and professionalism, in order to address a broad spectrum of risk issues
  • Proven ability to influence without authority, cultivate relationships, and collaborate with multiple stakeholders, including business leaders, Legal, and Operational Risk
Job Expectations:
