In this role, you will:
- Act as lead developer working with other developers, BA, QA and other partners during design, development, testing, and implementation phases.
- Represent the development team in prioritizing development activities during sprint planning.
- Lead complex technology initiatives including those that are companywide with broad impact
- Act as a key participant in developing standards and companywide best practices for engineering complex and large-scale technology solutions for technology engineering disciplines
- Design, code, test, debug, and document for projects and programs
- Review and analyze complex, large-scale technology solutions for tactical and strategic business objectives, enterprise technological environment, and technical challenges that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented technical factors
- Make decisions in developing standard and companywide best practices for engineering and technology solutions requiring understanding of industry best practices and new technologies, influencing and leading technology team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
- Collaborate and consult with key technical experts, senior technology team, and external industry groups to resolve complex technical issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor
- Work with Product Owners, Scrum Master, and delivery teams to build new or enhanced product features
- Help develop engineering standards and best practices
- Act as the escalation point-of-contact for application production incidents and issues
- Participate in team application and solutions architecture discussions

- 5+ years of Software Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of Java development experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience in a distributed services architecture such as SOA, Microservices, etc.
- 3+ years of experience in developing web applications
- 3 + years of JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) development experience
- 2+ years of Mongo DB experience
- 5+ years of software engineering experience working with Java frameworks including Spring, Hibernate, etc.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Engineering or Technology
- 2+ years of experience with modern JDK practices like Java streams, lambda, functional programming paradigm
- 1+ year experience with Kafka
- 3+ years of experience with SDLC tools and processes including GitHub, Jenkins, Artifactory, Sonar, Maven or Gradle
- 1+ years of experience in API Management like Apigee OR MuleSoft
- 5+ years of web service or api development experience (REST, SOAP)
- 3+ years of software engineering experience managing applications in a cloud environment (PCF, Azure, Google, Amazon Web Services)
- Experience with hands on coding in current position
- Broad development experience with core Java technologies
- Technical design accountability for application components
- Experience with automated CI/CD deployment using tools like (GIT, Jenkins, uDeploy, Harness)
- Rich experience working in an agile environment
- Skilled with performance and testing automation tools including Junit, Jmeter, Selenium, and/or Cucumber
- Expectation of at least 3 days per week in assigned office
