Credit Risk Intelligence and Transformation (CRIT) is looking for a Lead Risk Analytics Consultant to support the Credit Business Intelligence (Credit BI) team specifically: Commercial Banking Management Report and General Ledger based reporting.

The CRIT Business Intelligence team is responsible for delivering authoritative, actionable data driven insights that enable CRO and business teams to monitor and manage their credit portfolios

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting of stress testing and portfolio analysis for Risk Analytics
  • Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
  • Manage the roll out of pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models for supported businesses and product line
  • Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, less experienced to more experienced managers, to resolve production, project, and regulatory issues, and achieve risk analysts, and common modeling goals
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of professional experience using SQL to query to large databases to produce data driven reports
  • Credit risk experience, preferably commercial credit risk at a large financial institution, experience using Microsoft PowerBI to produce dashboard reports
  • Demonstrated advanced skills using Microsoft Excel
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Familiarity with Business Intelligence and analytics solutions, such as Tableau, Dremio, Python
  • Ability to mentor junior consultants and lead project teams
  • Strong project management skills with ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional area.
  • Credit Business Intelligence responsibilities may include:
    • Creating and owning critical, recurring production reporting responsibilities.
    • Maintaining close partnerships with the team and senior management across Wells Fargo.
    • Identifying and addressing issues with data sources.
    • Leading tactical development and execution of reporting, visualization and analytics routines to support stakeholder analytics needs.
    • Delivering innovative solutions and driving best practices in data reporting.
    • Partnering with key Business and Credit Risk business stakeholders to understand, interpret, and act on analytics needs.
Job Expectation:

Master's/Bachelor's degree in a quantitative field such as applied mathematics, statistics, engineering, finance, economics, econometrics or computer sciences.
