About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Risk Analytics Consultant for the Consumer Lending line of business within the Corporate Risk group, focused on unsecured lending.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to experienced leadership to develop, influence, and interpret analysis for monitoring and oversight of portfolio and deliver insight and decision strategies, with long term goals for highly complex business analysis and modeling companywide
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of complex and unique challenges requiring strategic, advanced analytical, inductive thinking, and performance monitoring
  • Extract data to provide statistical and financial modeling companywide, delivering solutions that are long term, large scale, and require vision, innovation, and coordination of complex activities and guidance to others
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to experienced leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large-scale, company-wide strategies
  • Engage with all levels of professionals and managers companywide
  • Act as an expert advisor to experienced leadership

  • 5+ years of Risk Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Consumer and/or other equivalent Credit Risk experience
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Ability to exercise independent judgment and creative problem-solving techniques.
  • Outstanding problem solving and analytical skills with ability to turn findings into strategic imperatives.
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to obtain and manipulate data from non-normalized/disparate data sources.
  • Hands on experience, knowledge, development and maintaining of SAS and SQL
  • Knowledge of building, maintaining of Tableau, ThoughtSpot or similar Business Intelligence tools
  • Experience with shell scripting in a command prompt environment (Linux/Unix)
  • Knowledge and understand of SAS Visual Analytics
  • Previous experience with Agile/Scrum
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
  • Experiencing working in the following environments:
    • SAS
    • Oracle
    • Teradata
    • MS SQL
    • Linux/Unix
