About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Quantitative Analytics Specialist to participate and lead in the analysis, development, and implementation of deposits and other scenario or forecast models as part of a Strats team within Liquidity Management.

Treasury at Wells Fargo is a dynamic team that is responsible for managing Wells Fargo's balance sheet including capital, liquidity, funding, and interest rate risk management. Treasury seeks to ensure Wells Fargo always maintains sufficient capital and liquidity resources to support growth in the Company's businesses, while also ensuring a satisfactory financial cushion exists to protect against unforeseen stresses in the economic environment or the Company's operations. Treasury also provides regulators, senior leaders, and the Board of Directors with key information to support risk management, financial performance management, and strategic planning.

Quantitative Analytics: Covers jobs responsible for utilizing advanced mathematical skills, such as probability, statistics, and data science techniques, to construct, design, develop, validate, and implement complex quantitative and predictive analytic models that offer continuous insights to a wide range of products, business, or risk mitigation initiatives

In this role, you will:
  • Build best in class models and tools that directly inform the risk position of the firm
  • Lead complex initiatives including creation, implementation, documentation, validation, articulation, and defense of statistical theory
  • Leverage technology to apply mathematical and statistical techniques that represent financial product behaviors under different scenarios
  • Manage projects across teams from devising an initial analysis through implementation
  • Devise creative and novel solutions to methodology challenges or in response to market events
  • Guide technology partners in the needs and future designs of our computational backbone
  • Assist in the drafting of regulatory response as needed
  • Shepherd and document methodology changes and updates through governance
  • Present results of analysis and strategies to the management of the firm
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of financial quantitative analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desire Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree or higher in a discipline such as mathematics, engineering, quantitative finance, computer sciences, or related field
  • Programming experience in Python, C++, or similar language
  • A strong sense of ownership and self-starter with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of bank products across retail and wholesale businesses
  • Polished communication skills and ability to communicate complex ideas in a simple, straightforward manner to executive management
  • Thrives in a large organization, collaborating with many teams
  • Experience with a statistical programming language such as SAS, and manipulating large data sets via SQL
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
