About this role:

The Payment Transformation Team within the Operations Payments Transformation Group is seeking a dynamic, highly motivated and experienced payment professional. This lead individual contributor role will serve as a Lead Product Owner supporting various Payments Transformation initiatives including but not limited to Enterprise Payment Execution, Payments Anomaly & Monitoring, Enterprise Payment Gateways and Sanctions Screening.

This position will be responsible for managing project implementation, and timelines for assigned efforts under the Payments Transformation Program. This team member will also provide technical subject matter expertise to partners inside and outside of Payment Operations including project leadership teams and various senior-level stakeholders.

This position is also known as a Lead Business Execution Consultant.

In this role, you will:
  • Develop, evolve, and communicate the product area vision, priorities and strategy while managing risk and ensuring regulatory and policy compliance.
  • Collaborate with the product manager on the overall product intention map.
  • Establish, communicate, and monitor product area goals and performance indicators.
  • Identify and build relationships with key partners and stakeholders to communicate product area vision, strategies, and priorities while soliciting and incorporating feedback.
  • Facilitate frequent collaboration between customers, stakeholders, and teams throughout the product lifecycle.
  • Engage in industry, technology, and customer ecosystem research and discovery to incorporate and prioritize key findings into the product area backlog.
  • Actively own the prioritization of a clearly understood product area backlog aligned to product area vision and goals.
  • Coordinate with other product owners in service of the customer experience.
  • Define and refine user stories, including business readiness stories, ensuring acceptance criteria is clearly understood by the team.
  • Responsible for ensuring that all known work is added to the backlog and made transparent.
  • Maintain a healthy backlog of items that are linked appropriately (Story → Feature → Epic).
  • Accept user stories after they have met the acceptance criteria and the definition of done.
  • Actively participate in all product area events.
  • Identify and resolve sequencing and prioritization conflicts across products and product areas.
  • Inspire and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams.
  • Be available to the team to answer questions and address escalated impediments.
  • Demonstrate continuous growth in understanding customer, user, and company needs related to the product.
  • Maintain continuous and cadenced communication with the product manager and delivery teams
  • Coordinate with business analysts, delivery coordinators, POs, and supporting roles that are shared across delivery teams.
  • Manage tradeoffs and executing day to day backlog prioritization and refinement; defining release plans aligned to the product strategy and intention map.

Required Qualifications, US:
  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in wire payments, banking or financial services industry
  • 3+ year Product Owner experience and/or certification
  • 3+ years experience working with Agile project methodologies
  • 5+ years experience gathering user/business requirements and translating them into epics and user stories
  • 5+ years leadership experience with ability to effectively drive results, provide feedback/direction, and manage and build relationships with leaders and team members in a geographically dispersed team environment

Ability to travel up to 10% of the time
