The Public Affairs and Legal (PAL) Technology Team creates rewarding user experiences that touch the work lives of 226K employees worldwide by implementing modern technologies including Generative AI.

As a Lead Product Designer on the team, you'll work in across design disciplines to help guide multidisciplinary teams toward successful product outcomes. You'll gather and prioritize user needs, ideate with product and technology partners, deliver designs at an actionable level of fidelity, provide implementation guidance to delivery teams, and monitor feedback & metrics for the next best product opportunity. These efforts can drive the development of internally built products, or they can inform the implementation of powerful partner-provided capabilities.

In addition to demonstrating the skills above, you'll also need to demonstrate initiative and leadership that pushes design projects forward through obstacles and challenges. You'll be a supportive teammate and easy collaborator who cultivates trusting relationships with stakeholders across the company. Understanding the importance high-quality communication, you'll seek to clarify complex topics and make sure everyone is aligned on the UX details that matter.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex initiatives including those that provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams
  • Develop and execute customer experience solutions for online applications and websites
  • Be accountable for overseeing the execution of strategic design projects that influence design and strategic direction of the company
  • Present designs and key milestone deliverables to peers and executive level stakeholders
  • Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
  • Establish and promote design guidelines, best practices and standards
  • Manage the execution of strategic design projects that influence design and strategic direction of the company
  • Serve as design advocate with the ability to forecast and assess industry trends and their impact on the company's product design alternatives
  • Build and enhance working relationships within the information and interface design function and community outside of the company
  • Provide product usability, evaluation, and support to product development teams
  • Lead customer experience strategy for platforms and products
  • Influence roadmaps and business decisions by providing customer experience considerations and participate in roadmap planning and virtual teams
  • Make decisions in customer experience strategy for platforms and products requiring understanding of the function and compliance requirements
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Online and Digital Product Design, Information Sciences, Graphic, and Visual Arts experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ Years of working with Functional Specifications and or User Experience Flows
Desired Qualifications:
  • Experience with designing AI-enabled experiences (including Generative AI)
  • Strong business sense facilitating efficient collaboration with stakeholders
  • Experience conducting usability research and testing
  • Experience in regulatory-facing environments (finance, health care, or similar)
  • Ability to quickly navigate design tools such as Figma, Sketch, and Adobe XD
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • Experience working in agile product teams

Base Pay for this role for Menlo Park CA and NYC and is between $106,300 and $189,300 depending on experience and level of expertise.

Base Pay for this role for Charlotte is between $96,600 and $171,800 depending on experience and level of expertise.
  • This position is not eligible for Visa sponsorship
  • Hybrid office model with 3+ days/week worked in Wells Fargo Enterprise Functions core locations
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$96,600.00 - $206,100.00
