About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Institutional Investment Operations Specialist to help lead the Shared Services Configuration team as part of Corporate and Investment Banking (CIB) Operations.

This team maintains and supports critical static data related to the Collateral Management function.

In this role, you will:

  • Serve as a lead for the Configuration team for matters relating to the Colline application and dealing with Collateral Management static.
  • Perform the daily review of agreement build static along with training and escalation management.
  • Run daily quality control checks on agreement/SSI related static and investigate breaks for top-day resolution.
  • Oversee the team's JIRA board for ongoing maintenance of outstanding requests and assist with ensuring tasks are being addressed within the assigned SLA.
  • Serve as the agreement term subject matter expert and attend all related collateral management project related calls.
  • Work closely with project management and collateral management leads to ensure business priorities align and are a main focus throughout the year.
  • Gain an in-depth knowledge of all RCSA controls for the configuration space related to collateral management and serve as a subject matter expert for each control.
  • Review and research complex multi-faceted operational and customer inquiries on collateral management related transactions for marginable trades which may include after-hours work to troubleshoot production issues.
  • Harness technical skills to identify and automate any new or existing controls on static maintained by the team.
  • Demonstrate full knowledge and serve as a lead on complex initiatives as well as support resolution of issues in and out of their responsibility.
  • Gain a full understanding of trade flows from the various systems of record down to the collateral management system and assist with enhancement the current matching functionality to map a trade to an agreement for margining purposes.

  • 5+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree (preferred majors are: Finance, Accounting, Math/Engineering or Economics).
  • Proven experience utilizing SalesForce processing system or similar workflow tools.
  • Working knowledge of the collateral agreement build process and the Colline system.
  • Knowledge of the clearing process for OTC cleared products, OTC products, ISDA agreements, Futures and Options.
  • Experience in business analysis, working with project management.
  • Highly motivated with ability to drive results.
  • Independent thinker yet adaptable to a procedure oriented and a fast-paced environment.
  • Have the ability to work independently on project related details and provide management and clients with ad hoc information as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task, perform under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Ability to solve problems otherwise escalate them immediately to the Manager to seek resolution.
  • Ability to effectively communicate with management, operations, technology, finance, and other areas within the bank and will be encouraged to escalate risk and any processing concerns promptly
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work at the posted location below on a hybrid schedule of three (3) days in office and two (2) days from home.
