About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Information Security Engineer
In this role, you will:
- Lead computer security incident response activities for highly complex events
- Conduct technical investigation of security related incidents and post incident digital forensics to identify causes and recommend future mitigation strategies
- Provide security consulting on large projects for internal clients to ensure conformity with corporate information, security policy, and standards
- Design, document, test, maintain, and provide issue resolution recommendations for highly complex security solutions related to networking, cryptography, cloud, authentication and directory services, email, internet, applications, and endpoint security
- Review and correlate security logs
- Utilize subject matter knowledge in industry leading security solutions and best practices to implement one or more components of information security such as availability, integrity, confidentiality, risk management, threat identification, modeling, monitoring, incident response, access management, and business continuity
- Identify security vulnerabilities and issues, perform risk assessments, and evaluate remediation alternatives
- Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including managers
- Lead a team to achieve objectives

- 5+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Job location: Bangalore or Hyderabad
- Bachelor's degree in information security, Data Analytics, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
- Minimum 10 years of experience in data analysis and reporting role, preferably in an information security or infrastructure security setting.
- Extensive hands-on experience with business intelligence and automation tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Access, Python, GitHub, Splunk, RPA Bot, and Autosys).
- Strong knowledge of process automation and experience in managing and maintaining automation scripts and queries.
- Experience working with process execution teams and automation tool owners to implement changes in production environments.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage with stakeholders across the organization.
- Proven ability to work independently and lead cross-functional teams in a fast-paced environment.
- Experience in the information security industry, particularly with infrastructure security logging.
- Familiarity with automation frameworks and version control best practices.
- GCP and Azure dashboard and reporting experience.
- SDLC experience
- AI/Machine Learning experience
Process Automation Management:
- Maintain an inventory of queries and scripts used for process automation within the Infrastructure Security Logging organization.
- Ensure all automation queries and scripts produce expected outcomes by collaborating with process execution owners to gather requirements and understand objectives.
- Coordinate with automation tool owners to update and modify queries and scripts in production environments.
- Conduct testing and validation of production changes to confirm alignment with business needs and ensure smooth implementation.
- Maintain an up-to-date inventory of reports used within the organization, ensuring reports are current and accurately reflect business needs.
- Create new reports and visualizations as needed by stakeholders, leveraging strong hands-on experience with data visualization and reporting tools (Tableau, Power BI, Excel, Access).
- Build and execute SQL queries to extract relevant data for reporting and analysis purposes.
- Use Python for data manipulation and automation tasks as needed.
- Maintain and update scripts, queries, and reports in a centralized repository (GitHub) to ensure version control and accessibility.
- Develop and maintain dashboards, queries, and alerts within Splunk to support security logging and data analysis.
- Integrate Splunk data with other reporting tools, such as Tableau and Power BI, for a comprehensive data view.
- Troubleshoot and optimize Splunk queries to ensure efficient and effective use of the platform for reporting and alerting purposes.
- Act as a liaison between business stakeholders, process owners, and technology teams to ensure seamless communication and alignment of data automation processes.
- Provide recommendations to optimize existing processes, reporting methodologies, and Splunk queries to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Ensure data integrity across all reporting and automation activities and implement best practices in data governance.
- Stay up to date on the latest advancements in reporting and data automation tools, including Tableau, Power BI, Excel, SQL, Python, GitHub, Splunk, RPA Bot, and Autosys.
- Identify opportunities for process improvement and automation to reduce manual effort and increase the accuracy of the organization's data reporting.
- Mentor and provide technical guidance to junior engineer/analysts within the team.
