About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Product Owner to join the Auto Lending Data & Insights Product Team. This team is responsible for managing and delivering on Consumer Lending Auto's strategic initiatives.

This role will be responsible for leading agile Scrum teams in Auto Data Warehouse transformational change as we modernize our data platforms and accommodate data ingestion from new and upscaled sources. Your contributions will be critical to our overarching goal of positioning the Auto business for the future in terms of data provisioning, data governance and data flexibility.

Data Product Management: Covers jobs responsible for enabling data product design and delivery to drive business initiatives, strategies, and analytics, while incorporating governance set by Data Management. Serves as a bridge between data analytics, data management, and technology focusing on data integration, efficiency, and enablement across data platforms and utilities.

In this role, you will:
  • Foster a strong agile discipline that inspires teams to continuously improve delivery evidenced through key agility metrics
  • Build frameworks for complex decision making that enable effective debate and accelerate getting to the right answer
  • Assure the integrity, completeness, and quality of user stories and test cases within Scrum teams, ensuring alignment with business objectives and adherence to stringent audit standards. Implement and manage quality assurance processes to maintain elevated standards for product delivery and functionality.
  • Communicate product vision, manage the backlog, establish goals, and steer teams toward the development and implementation of target state technologies and processes.
  • Proactively engage with Product strategy leaders, stakeholders, tech teams and managers across all levels to ensure data product solutions are optimally aligned with business needs. Cultivate and maintain robust stakeholder relationships to manage expectations effectively. Align product development with strategic business objectives.
  • Innovate and sustain advanced data products that enable actionable data intelligence for a wide range of business applications, from operational activities to analytics and reporting.
  • Continuously enhance product quality through rigorous quality assurance standards and practices.
  • Lead complex, unique, and critical data product line requirements to meet deliverables by serving as a strategic liaison between requestor, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product life
    cycle.
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance.
  • Provide strategic input on new use case intake, prioritization and product roadmap planning activities.
  • Serve as a mentor to less experienced staff.
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Product Management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner.
  • 5+ years of experience creating epics and user stories.
  • Knowledge of widely successful Agile techniques: User Stories, ATDD, TDD, Continuous Integration, Continuous Testing, Pairing, Automated Testing, Agile Games.
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira.
  • Data Product experience
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations.
  • Technical data expertise to help drive technology and business teams towards an approved data strategy.
  • Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
  • Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
  • Exceptional problem solving abilities
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate results
