Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Data Management Product Consultant to support and execute the data strategy and governance for Home Lending. This team is part of the Data and Insights Product group which is responsible for supporting Home Lending's key Strategic Initiatives through data enablement and capability development.

Data Product Management: Covers jobs responsible for enabling data product design and delivery to drive business initiatives, strategies, and analytics, while incorporating governance set by Enterprise Data Management policies. Serves as a bridge between business, product execution teams and technology architecture by providing analytic support to drive key data solutions. In this role, you will:
  • Work with leaders, stakeholders, SMEs, scrum masters, project managers and delivery team to ensure success against stated customer business value.
  • Lead complex data product initiatives, including those that are cross-functional with broad impact, and act as key participant in large-scale planning driving data enablement and capabilities across platforms and utilities
  • Review and analyze complex multi-faceted, larger scale or longer-term data product initiatives that require in-depth evaluation of multiple factors, including intangibles or unprecedented factors to drive data enablement strategies and roadmaps, while adhering to set data governance and standards
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data, analytics, and integration needs of line of business partners to inform prioritization, roadmap, and architecture design, that influence and lead broader work team to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Provide strategic input on new use case intake, prioritization, product roadmap definition, and other critical business processes
  • Drive requirements supporting prioritized initiatives by providing cross functional analysis and developing system requirements based on business need. Output will be creating EPICS and Features to be shared with execution leads.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance and design analytics applications across multiple platforms, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals; may lead projects, teams or serve as a peer mentor
  • Ensure cross-functional dependencies are articulated, managed, and addressed by all constituents.
  • Serve as a strategic liaison between requestor, product teams, data engineering, and architecture teams throughout the data product life cycle.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to ensure data product solutions are built for optimal performance, resolve data product issues, and achieve goals.
  • Understand Enterprise Data Management Policies and drive its implementation across product lines by defining scope, prioritizing backlog, establishing goals, and provide direction for teams to design, develop, and deliver.
  • Execute via Home Lending data product cabinet to ensure work and resources are aligned to strategic priorities.
  • Collaborate with and influence stakeholders, subject matter experts, project managers, and data product owners to ensure alignment with HL Data Strategy
  • Create and maintain data product roadmaps throughout the data product life cycle with detailed specifications, requirements, and flows for data capabilities
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of data product or data management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of experience in one or more of the following: Product management, product development, strategic planning, process management, change delivery or agile product owner
  • 5+ years of experience creating epics and user stories
  • Knowledge of Agile concepts and processes (Scrum, Kanban)
  • Experience with one or more Agile tools used for tracking user stories or backlogs, such as Confluence or Jira
  • Strategic planning experience in translating leadership vision into executable strategies and initiatives
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important
  • Ability to work effectively in virtual environment where key team members and partners are in various time zones and locations
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to summarize complex concepts into concise communications.
  • Technical data expertise to help drive technology and business teams towards an approved data strategy.
  • Ability to understand technical policy requirements to help support the implementation of data management policies across all parts of the business.
  • Experience in data initiatives
  • Experience building process flows (Visio)
  • Knowledge of the Mortgage processes in at least one of the following areas: Capital Markets, Servicing, Loan Origination, or Pricing.
  • Strong SQL or SAS reading and writing skillset
  • Ability to synthesize multi-dimensional, complex, and interrelated concepts into clear, consumable, implications, actions, and decisions
  • Demonstrated track record of effective influencing and collaboration at all levels
  • Exceptional problem-solving abilities
  • Exceptional ability to translate complex business and operational concepts so they are clearly understood in support of sound decisions to meet business objectives
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills with ability to clearly communicate results
Job Expectations:
  • This position requires compliance with all mortgages regulatory requirements and Wells Fargo's compliance policies related to these requirements. Successful candidates must also meet ongoing regulatory requirements including additional screening and required reporting of certain incidents.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $197,500.00
