This Lead will assist in Strategic Roadmap initiatives that lead our data environments to one source, and eventually to the Cloud environment. The role will support all areas across Personal Lending including Product, Marketing, Operations, Shared Services, Credit Risk and Finance as well as partner with the Analytics, Campaign Marketing, and Reporting verticals delivering across these critical areas:
• Database Management, Maintenance, and Support

• Process Management
• Single Source of Truth Development

This role will require an ability to help create and build the Data Management strategy, partner with technology, and provide direction to others including peers, contractors, and offshore partners. Candidates with experience in Personal Lending data solutions is extremely preferred, however candidates with a strong background standing up a data management function and platform in the financial services/banking industry will be strongly considered.

In this role, you will:
  • Organize and lead complex companywide initiatives to ensure that data quality is maintained so that data can effectively support business processes
  • Oversee analysis and reporting in support of regulatory requirements
  • Identify and recommend analysis of data quality or integrity issues
  • Evaluate data quality metrics and data quality audits to benchmark the state of data quality
  • Make decisions in complex and multi-faceted situations requiring solid understanding of data governance standards and procedures
  • Identify new data sources and develop recommendations for assessing the quality of new data
  • Lead project teams and mentor less experienced staff members
  • Recommend remediation of process or control gaps that align to management strategy
  • Serve as relationship manager for a line of business
  • Consult with and provide recommendations to senior management regarding assessments of the current state of data and metadata quality within area of assigned responsibility
  • Represent client in cross-functional groups to develop companywide data governance strategies
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to coordinate and drive collaboration on solution design and remediation execution
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Data Management, Business Analysis, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Ability design data solutions and stage data for downstream data users
  • Ability to document current data usage and data landscape
Desired Qualifications:
  • An understanding of data relevant to Personal Loans, Retail Services, or Consumer Lending product equivalent
  • Experience with strategy development and implementation
  • Experience in data architecture and data strategy
  • Experience in process management
  • Demonstrate strong communication skills
  • Strong understanding of Management Reporting. Proficiency with data flows, report outputs, and data dictionaries
  • Experience with SSIS, SSRS, SAS, Python and/or SQL
