About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Control Management Officer role will be part of COO Non-Ops area and support Enterprise Business Resiliency. This individual will ensure that activities are executed in accordance with the appropriate frameworks and to ensure that significant and emerging risks are proactively assessed and mitigated.
In this role, you will:
- Lead complex initiatives designed to mitigate current and emerging risks with broad impact
- Act as key participant in monitoring, evaluating, and measuring the impact of decisions practiced in Control Management functional area
- Monitor moderately complex business specific programs, and provide risk management consulting to support the business in designing and implementing risk-mitigation strategies
- Monitor, measure, evaluate, and report on the impact of decisions and controls to the relevant business group or functional area
- Develop and implement risk monitoring and risk reporting processes and controls
- Collaborate with relevant business group to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in developing and implementing risk-mitigating strategies
- Lead Control Management project or virtual teams

- 5+ years of Risk Management or Control Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results
- Experience in risk management (includes compliance, financial crimes, operational risk, audit, legal, credit risk, market risk, IT systems security, business process management)
- Effective communicator (strong listening and communications skills), both orally and in writing, able to ask well-crafted questions and present ideas in a clear and compelling manner, good listener who engenders creative thinking and teamwork along with strong presentation skills
- Expert-level knowledge of industry standards and best practices around monitoring, testing, quality assurance, risk management, and management reporting processes
- An understanding of Business Continuity and Resiliency framework.
- Risk management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive improvements
- Skilled on Microsoft office (Word, Excel, and Power Point)
- Strong analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving skills, coupled with an ability to translate ambiguous ideas/issues into well-defined plans/solutions with a track-record for delivering results
- Demonstrated ability to deliver high quality output from self and team
- Experience working in a matrixed environment and the ability to effectively manage and build relationships
- Experience in automation / advanced excel / reporting will be an advantage
- Experience in data automation along with advanced excel and report generation skills
- Risk management experience with demonstrated leadership skills and ability to drive improvements.
- Ethical integrity and demonstrated ability to identify risks and confidently raise issues, escalate early, doing so independently when necessary
- BS/BA degree or higher
- Master's degree / relevant certifications will be an advantage
