About this role:
Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Intelligence Consultant for the Wells Fargo Auto Data Services team. In this role, you will use your technical skills and knowledge of banking data to perform data validations of high-risk reporting including, but not limited to, control reports, customer redress, and regulatory data requests. You will be heavily involved in Change Management activities related to modernizing Wells Fargo Auto's servicing system and enhancing the associated data environment.

In this role, you will:
- Perform data validations for SHRPs, regulatory issues, control reports, and internally identified issues. Evaluate and test business requirements and programs written by the LOB to run control reports, and output from those programs. Validate the output of those programs against the data warehouse.
- Provide advice to the LOB on the design and execution of control reports to address issues found by regulators and internal resources.
- Use advanced programming skills in BOTH SAS and SQL to write, modify, and test data extraction and analytics programs in a Unix environment.
- Provide data validation and code review for reports and applications written by other teams within Wells Fargo Auto.
- Review documentation of control processes as implemented by the LOB.
- Collaborate with users to design, implement, automate and manage data acquisition and load processes.
- Translate business needs and objectives into technical requirements and data solutions.
- Perform data discovery and investigation to ensure that the data meets the business objectives.
- Build and maintain the necessary and mandated controls and procedures to ensure data accuracy and business functionality.
- Provide technical consulting, requirements analysis, and code design recommendations to various teams within the business including Credit Risk, Corporate Controllers, and Corporate Credit and COE stakeholders, and LOB Operations.
- Collaborate with other analysts and programmers and serve as a subject matter expert to different teams within the line of business.

- 5+ years of business intelligence and data visualization experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 5+ years of SQL experience
- 5+ years of SAS programming experience
- 5+ years of banking experience
- Unix experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- In depth experience with advanced programming tools and job schedulers, preferably in an applications development environment, which may include some combination of Java, C++, VBA, .NET, Unix shell scripts, CRON, etc.
- Strong expertise in reporting, analytics, or modeling.
- Knowledge and understanding of business intelligence tools
- Knowledge and understanding of Basel and FRY14Q reporting
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment and across all organizational levels, where flexibility, collaboration, and adaptability are important.
- Auditing background or experience working with audit teams is preferred.
- This position offers a hybrid work schedule.
