Lead Business Execution Consultant - Structured Products Group (SPG)

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Business Execution Consultant to join their Structured Products Group (SPG) team. The SPG Banking team within the Markets division of Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) provides structured lending and securitization services to core clients across all asset types, including, consumer & commercial assets, corporate loans, residential mortgages, and commercial mortgages. Reporting to the COO of SPG Banking, the candidate will work with the COO team, key leaders within SPG and business partners such as Lending Transformation, Technology, Business Control and Compliance.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead efforts related to technology enhancements, regulatory reporting, process/control enhancements and data management
  • Effectively and constructively lead change in organization efficiency, balancing adherence to Wells Fargo policies while supporting the successful execution of the bank's business goals/strategies
  • Quickly learn business processes and possess a high degree of initiative with a strong ability to meet key responsibilities with limited direction and oversight
  • Have strong relationship building and collaboration skills, proven experience working with teams and strong organizational/time management skills to be able to manage multiple responsibilities and tasks simultaneously
  • Partner with the CIB Lending Transformation group to execute strategic lending change initiatives.
  • Lead large scale technology, regulatory, and/or other strategy-related projects ensuring successful implementation as well as maintaining ongoing processes by coordinating with business control, technology, compliance, and other relevant groups (i.e. finance, marketing, legal, human resources).
  • Represent SPG on recurring and ad hoc data management projects.
  • Foster culture of sharing best practices (business, processes, technology, talent management, etc.) across SPG and CIB to strive for consistent standards and processes.
  • Drive special projects on an ad-hoc basis over time as well as partner on broader SPG initiatives.

  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Project Management, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications, US:
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to reconcile & analyze data and put it into a presentation format for senior leadership
  • Experience in capital markets, financial services, or consulting including relevant management, project management, and/or investment banking experience
  • Knowledge of investment banking and capital markets products
  • Proven project management execution skills
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
  • Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment
  • Demonstrate sound judgment
  • Excellent analytical and data management skills
  • Ability to think proactively about the business and issues
  • Values and utilizes collaboration but also can work independently
  • Attention to detail
  • Flexibility
  • Ability to build strong partnerships within CIB and Wholesale more broadly
  • Advanced Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) skill
Job Expectations, US:
  • Up to 10% travel, if needed
  • This position is subject to FINRA Background Screening Requirements, including successful completion and clearing of a background check.
