This exciting role in CCIBT falls in our Platform Management team where the selected seasoned engineer will analyze, troubleshoot, and resolve complex issues in a highly visible distributed middleware platform based in Java, J2EE and .NET. This team supports applications hosted in a wide variety of technology stacks, including Azure, PCF, Kubernetes, Virtual Machines, and Citrix systems.

As a senior resource, you will partner with teams, vendors, internal and external business partners to evaluate and recommend enhancements or changes to existing processes to support the ever changing technology environment. Including supporting Internal and external hosted applications providing support to 73k internal users, 18k external users and 1.4k external clients in North America, APAC and EMEA regions.

In this role, you will:
  • Lead complex, broad impact initiatives including provision of high level systems consultation for the technology teams
  • Work as key participant in large scale planning of computer systems and network infrastructure for Systems Operations functional area
  • Review and analyze complex technical challenges, as well as escalated support issues related to core business solutions that require in depth evaluation of multiple factors, such as alternatives, enhancements, periodic systems reviews, or improvements to existing systems
  • Make decisions on technical changes and enhancements
  • Consult with engineering team on change design requiring solid understanding of technical process controls or standards that influence and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with technical peers, colleagues, and mid to more experienced level managers to resolve systems support issues and achieve goals
Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Systems Engineering, Technology Architecture experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 5+ years of experience providing monitoring tools support for applications built on JAVA or .NET platforms
  • 4+ years of application production support experience
  • 2+ years of AppDynamic experience
  • 1+ year of Splunk experience
  • 1+ year of Autosys experience
Desired Qualifications:
  • 1+ year of operations environment experience
  • 1+ year of risk and regulatory compliance experience
  • 1+ year of Pivotal Cloud Foundry (PCF) experience
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization; including management and internal customers
  • Knowledge and understanding of system monitoring and automation
  • Knowledge and understanding of network automation development through scripting
  • Ability to take an active role in the education, mentoring and training team members
  • Experience with Apache Tomcat, Apache HTTP, IBM Liberty and or WAS, WebLogic, or other similar products on UNIX and or Linux OS
  • Experience with monitoring tools to solve and prevent application issues
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Leading and resolving major incidents
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to work on call as assigned
  • Flexibility to work in a 24/7 environment, including weekends and holidays
  • Flexibility to adjust work schedule in accordance to the time zone for the market you are supporting - for US teams, the working hours range from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm local time, sometimes due to resource constraints (ex: PTO or Holiday adjustments)
