Wells Fargo is seeking for a skilled Lead Analytics Consultant who will develop and deliver impactful and highly visible work focused on data integrity, data aggregation, analysis and insight in support of decisioning and monitoring of business initiatives, strategies, and practices. The goal will be to provide easily accessible and high-quality information to executive level stakeholders with greater business insight to enhance value creation from decision outcomes.

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant

In this role, you will:

Be a part of internal Reporting & Analytics product. You will work as individual contributor and developing Power BI, Tableau dashboards, and paginated reports as requested by business. Role also interacts with various capabilities within FCO and provide reporting and analytical solutions.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Responsibilities:
  • Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards.
  • Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data.
  • Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed.
  • Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews.
  • Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported.
  • Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals.
  • Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors.
  • Delivering- value through formulating and solving complex problems, supporting advanced know-how theory and practice.
  • Provide analysis and insights using statistical tools, optimization, develop algorithm to synthesize large data sets.
  • Apply critical thinking skills and perform advanced analytics with the goal of solving complex and multi-faceted business problems.
  • Generate deep insights through the analysis of data and understanding of operational processes and turn them into actionable recommendations.
  • Identify trends, patterns, and correlations that can be used to improve business performance.
  • Partner with business stakeholders in the development of key business reporting (e.g. Business Review dashboard) and optimal delivery channels for the distribution of the reporting solutions.
  • Ensure robust routines with stakeholders and senior executives to share progress of key initiatives and report outs on mutually agreed KPIs for the team.
  • Determine appropriate strategy to plan, coordinate, and execute data research projects or results oriented intelligence that support the business.
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including senior managers to provide strategic consultation.
  • Ensure adherence to data management and data governance regulations, and policies and compliance requirements.
  • Interpret and develop compliance and risk management requirements for supported area and work with other stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives for external agencies, regulatory bodies, and industry forums.
Must have:
  • 8+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling; or a Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as applied math, statistics, engineering, computer sciences and working/development experience in one or a combination of the following: reporting, analytics, or modeling.
  • 4+ years of SQL experience - create SQL scripts. Working experience on SQL Server SSIS, SSRS or SSAS experience would be a plus.
  • 4+ years of data analysis experience using one or a combination of tools - Excel, Python, Power BI, Tableau, SQL
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Power BI development experience - DAX, Power query
  • Experience in coding - Logical & Object-oriented Programming - Python, VBA
  • 2+ years of working experience in Microsoft advanced tools - Power Automate, Power Query
Desired Qualifications:
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of research and analysis.
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skill.
  • Ability to pick-up new concepts and skills quickly
  • Working Knowledge of GitHub
  • Experience developing executive level dashboards, analytics, and reports from large datasets.
  • Experience presenting information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
  • Experience with Agile Scrum (Daily Standup, Sprint Planning and Sprint Retrospective meetings) and Kanban
  • Experience leading meetings with local and remote attendees
  • Ability to quickly learn, retain, and apply business rules, processes, and terminology.
Good to have:
  • Machine Learning and Deep learning model development and testing experience
  • NoSQL
