Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant within Auto. This role will be joining our growing Auto analytics team and be responsible for building analytics within our Auto product team that will help guide strategies and decision making. Converting data into insight and actionable intelligence through modeling from an analytics perspective, drawing conclusions. Success in this role is an end-to-end analytical toolkit that includes coding experience with SQL, Python, SAS. Being able to refine data, analyze and gain insight as well as data modeling. In this role, you will:
- Advise line of business and companywide functions on business strategies based on research of performance metrics, trends in population distributions, and other complex data analysis to maximize profits and asset growth, and minimize operating losses within risk and other operating standards
- Provide influence and leadership in the identification of new tools and methods to analyze data
- Ensure adherence to compliance and legal regulations and policies on all projects managed
- Provide updates on project logs, monthly budget forecasts, monthly newsletters, and operations reviews
- Assist managers in building quarterly and annual plans and forecast future market research needs for business partners supported
- Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid-level to senior managers to resolve issues and achieve goals
- Lead projects, teams, or serve as a peer mentor to staff, interns and external contractors
- Develop business strategies that will drive growth, profitability, and competitive advantage for Wells Fargo
- Develop, test, analyze and implement strategies to achieve the financial objective relevant to macro-economic conditions
- Work closely with cross functional team (Tech, Product, Risk, Operations) to drive impact on a given product, problem, or initiative
- 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- Strong Hands-On coding experience including SAS, Python, Tableau, SQL
- Strong modeling experience including regression, decision tree, machine learning
- Outstanding problem solving and decision making skills leveraging analytics
- Strong conceptual thinking and ability to drive clarity in ambiguity while dealing with credit and operational problems
- Experience in proactive detection of patterns and trends
- Experience in developing data driven insights uncover data anomalies, trends, and actionable analysis
- Ability to synthesize/translate data for executive consumption
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Highly refined and professional verbal and written communications
- Adept in data analysis tools and programming (R, Python, SQL, SAS)
- This position will require onsite presence at one of the locations listed below in a hybrid work schedule
