About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Analytics Consultant...

In this role, you will:

  • Report to the Auto Pricing Manager and be a key contributor in the development and execution of strategic recommendations to help the business optimize profitability while measuring and monitoring returns on new originations
  • Lead complex initiatives related to business analysis and modeling, including those that are cross functional, with broad impact, and act as key participant in data aggregation, monitoring, and reporting
  • Review and analyze complex programing models to extract data and manipulate databases to provide statistical and financial modeling specific to businesses supported
  • Make decisions in complex product strategies, data modeling, and risk exposure, requiring solid understanding of business unit projects and regulatory responses, policies, procedures, and compliance requirements that influence and lead Analytic and Reporting to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve production issues, and achieve analytic and reporting goals
  • Participate in complex activities related business analytics
  • Develop, implement, calibrate and validate analytical models
  • Lead projects, teams, and mentor less experienced staff

  • 5+ years of Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting; or a BS/BA or higher in Finance, Accounting, Statistics, Economics or Business and 4+ years of experience in one or a combination of the following: analytics, reporting, financial modeling, statistical modeling, finance, or accounting demonstrated through work or military experience
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative field such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
Job Expectations:
  • Experience with scripting languages to develop analytics automation
  • Strong skills using statistical/data science tools such as SAS, R, Python, etc.
  • Lead development of visualizations and dashboards in Tableau, PowerBI, etc.
  • Ability to execute in a fast-paced, demanding environment while balancing multiple priorities
  • Ability to develop and integrate statistical and analytical approaches to pricing activities to optimize performance and gain strategic insights
  • Proven ability to work effectively across teams and organizational levels to make high-impact decisions and complete challenging assignments
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to use imperfect information to solve complex problems and make strategic recommendations
