About this role:

One of the primary roles of FCM Operations is to liaise with exchanges, clients, and other FCMs to ensure trades are booked and cleared accurately, perform trade reconciliations and all requisite regulatory reporting, and to provide market, credit and perform GL&SL. The role is expected to lead a team who performs a variety of operational tasks for highly complex securities or cash related transactions or processes that require expert knowledge of FCM Trade management, Clearing Ops and Brokerage functions (Atlantis /GPS) and systems

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in lifecycle support tasks for institutional trade initiatives and identify opportunity for process improvements
  • Assist leadership in bringing individual or teams together in order to resolve complex issues
  • Assist in client account onboarding, input and monitoring of cash payments, customer service, project support, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issue
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable
  • Present recommendations for resolving complex situations and exercise independent judgement while developing expertise on functions, projects, internal and industry related initiatives
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

In this role, you will:
  • Supervise a team working on complex transactional tasks
  • Support the lifecycle of Institutional trading, while managing a group in one of the following functions; client account onboarding, cash payments, customer service, funding operations, custodial operations, securities settlement services, structured loan operations, general ledger reconciliation, as well as, work to resolve confirmation and ISDA related issues
  • Identify and recommend opportunities for process improvement and risk control development
  • Collaborate with all business partners and various departments, create efficiencies and mitigate risk for team and organization
  • Make daily supervisory decisions for team of analysts and resolve issues related to team supervision, work allocation and daily operations
  • Leverage interpretation of policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers
  • Lead team to achieve objectives and strategy
  • Manage allocation of people and financial resources for Institutional Investment Operations group
  • Mentor and guide talent development of direct reports and assist in hiring talent
  • Required Qualifications:
  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 1+ years of Leadership experience
  • Experience of more than 11+ years in Securities and particularly in FCM business.
  • Experience of working across Brokerage, Trade management, and Reconciliation functions and Strong accounting skills is a must.
  • Prior experience in managing people
  • Fluency in English
  • Job Expectations:
  • Lead the FCM Clearing teams in developing and implementing best practices; Increase effectiveness of staff and tools by recognizing opportunities for development and proactively creating new systems and structures.
  • Manage people and partners, act as liaison to other internal departments, including technology groups, external Brokers and Vendors, and provides department level reporting using multiple sources.
  • Identify opportunities to improve the process through partnership with other teams
  • Technology Work closely with BMS Technology team
  • Build platform knowledge in your team through ongoing training.
  • Develop and maintain MIS on end to end process for tracking turnaround times of deliverables from team and other processing areas
  • Handle critical production or escalation issues
