About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an Institutional Investment Operations Specialist within our FX Static Data team as part of Corporate Investment Banking.

In this role, you will:

  • Perform onboarding and offboarding of FX profiles in a timely manner, as required
  • Update information in system of records to maintain the data of FX client profiles
  • Set up and maintain standard settlement instructions
  • Research profile mapping issues
  • Review reports to ensure the setup and maintenance are done correctly
  • Work with team members and other line of businesses to complete requests within stated time frames and SLA
  • Research and resolve issues as instructed, potentially present findings to the wider group and/or additional LOB
  • Participate in initiatives or projects, including cross training, as well as development and maintenance of process & procedures documentation
  • Provide subject matter expertise on projects along with internal and industry related initiatives
  • Review and analyze functional operational tasks that require research, evaluation, and exercise independent judgment to guide the deliverable

  • 2+ years of Institutional Investment Operations experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Ability to use bank software, desktop software, email, and FX specific applications
  • Knowledge of FX business, International finance, and Standard Settlement Instructions (SSI)
  • Experience with data configurations
  • Knowledge of CMR, OPICS, Calypso, COBAM, and CID is a plus
  • Understanding and experience working with database concepts
  • Familiar with user acceptance testing, regression testing, and production checks
  • Understand the concept or experienced in operation risk and control
  • Dependability, attention to details, integrity, and work well with others
  • Decision making and problem-solving skills essential

The Client Data and Onboarding group is composed of Sales and Trading Support, Client Data/Account Maintenance, Client Facilitation, Client Due Diligence and Regulatory Due Diligence teams and is looking for an operations specialist to join the FX Account Maintenance Team.

This position is in Charlotte, NC and will report to FX Account Maintenance Manager under the Head of Client Data and Account Maintenance, part of the Shared Services Operations team. The FX Account Maintenance team has team-members located in Charlotte, NC, as well as Bangalore and Hyderabad, India. The specialist will work with FX Account Maintenance team members in all locations, other operational teams, and line of businesses to execute the operational objectives in serving customer needs. The specialist will have direct responsibility in global FX account opening and maintenance FX functions. The responsibility areas will cover the front to back client data activities including account set-ups, reference data maintenance, off boarding and new business/policy implementation. The individual will also be participating in ongoing process improvements, record keeping, auditing, testing, risk mitigation, and issue remediation.

This person is expected to provide transactional supports which include monitoring work item queues, pulling work items, setting up FX systems of records, requesting data as needed, peer-review, and completing the requests in a timely fashion per the procedures and policies. The team member will provide support in regression testing, user acceptance testing, and production checkout, to deliver technology changes. This team member will execute the assigned tasks utilizing strategic tools in helping to streamline the client experience. The individual will also be expected to become a subject matter expert in various areas within FX Account Maintenance team.
