About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking Information Security Engineering Senior Manager.

Senior Engineering Manager-CI role will lead teams entrusted with the responsibility of managing and securing Wells Fargo's critical infrastructure services. This includes DDI (DNS, DHCP, IP management), Encryption, Tokenization, Key Management, Public key infrastructure (PKI) and Authentication services.

This leadership role requires a strategic thinker with strong leadership capabilities and extensive technical expertise in Information Technology and Information Security foundational knowledge, as well as experience with and awareness of DDI, PKI, Authentication, Encryption, Tokenization and key management technologies and engineering practices.

The ideal candidate for this position will have demonstrated experience of building and nurturing a high performing global team, influencing, and collaborating with all levels of leadership globally.

The role closely partners with partners across Wells Fargo Technology Infrastructure, Cybersecurity, and lines of business to drive information protection product delivery, support business priorities and oversees the allocation of people and financial resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objective.

Role and Responsibilities
  • Lead a technology team of 50+ members working as Engineers and Managers providing Critical infrastructure Engineering and Support Services.
  • Talent Management, Stakeholder Management, Strategic Management, Operational & Process Management, Financial management.
  • Collaborate with US technology managers to implementing various initiatives in a team extension and product operating model.
  • Lead efforts to define / manage required business plans (i.e. draft proposals & plans) and support related initiatives across products - including analyzing & identifying opportunities for efficiencies, automations and innovation across internal processes and the tools to support.
  • Promote effective communication and collaboration among team members across different time zones.
  • Proactively manage risk including deliverables, operational issues through implementation of right controls and escalate where required.
  • Effectively manage the end-to-end asset lifecycle including patch compliance, vulnerability management, and configuration drift management
  • Build and maintain strong relationship with hardware vendors and service providers.
  • Focus on delivering commitments aligned to enterprise strategic priorities.
  • Guide development of actionable roadmaps and plans
  • Identify opportunities and strategies for continuous improvement of product delivery practices.
  • Set risk management guidelines and partner with stakeholders to implement key risk initiatives.
  • Develop strategies for hiring engineering, operational and administrative talent
  • Lead team to achieve objectives and key results.
  • Build and sustain a strong risk culture including a balanced approach through working in cooperation and consultation with all lines of defense across the enterprise.
  • Lead efforts to facilitate / manage projects, products, strategic plans and execute other operational aspects on behalf of leader
  • Collaborate and influence all levels of professionals including more experienced managers.
  • Develop and guide a culture of talent development to meet business objectives and strategy.
Required Qualifications:
  • 6+ years of Information Security Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 3+ years of Management experience
Job Expectations:
  • BE or equivalent with 18+ years of experience, of which at least 5+ years in senior management roles leading large Engineering teams for a large enterprise, preferably for Banking and Financial Services organization.
  • 10+ years of strategic technology leadership experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
  • 10+ years of experience building, leading, managing, and mentoring high-performance engineering or operations teams.
  • 5+ years of experience in a leadership/management role specific to engineering teams working with encryption/key management, DDI, Public Key Infrastructure (PKI) or related information protection technologies.
  • Ability to influence across all organizational levels, particularly senior/executive management.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 10+ years of leadership/management experience specific to Information Security
  • 5+ years of experience leading engineering teams performing scripting and automation.
  • 5+ years of advanced information security architecture, design, or consulting experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Agile practices and frameworks such as SCRUM and KANBAN as well as Confluence and JIRA toolsets.
  • Experience transforming to and/or managing business and operational functions in a product model construct, which would include participation in product roadmap planning and feature/backlog prioritization.
  • Strong knowledge of DDI, Authentication Services, PKI, hardware security modules (HSMs) and/or security appliances
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and prior experiences with regulatory drivers impacting a complex and dynamic global technology environment.
  • Practical experience building security solutions through abstraction layer and automation practices.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills
