About this role:
Wells Fargo's Global Operations team provides middle and back-office services for all five of Wells Fargo's Lines of Business (Consumer and Small Business Banking, Consumer Lending, Wealth and Investment Management, Commercial Banking and the Corporate and Investment Bank) and Enterprise Functions, across locations in the US, India and the Philippines.
Data, Analytics and Reporting (DAR) is the team leading the transformation of Global Operations' data and analytics capabilities, driving the modernization of our platform and adoption of ML and AI techniques.
Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced leader to join the DAR leadership team, to manage the teams and data resources based in India & Philippines (I&P) and deliver key components of our transformation roadmap.

In this role, you will:
- Oversee the recruitment and growth of DAR in India and Philippines, spread across Bangalore, Hyderabad, Chennai and Manila
- Build and execute the analytics book of work for I&P operations, leveraging data and advanced analytics to identify optimization opportunities (e.g. capacity forecasting, workflow optimization)
- Lead the implementation of new data reporting platforms in support of key I&P operations (e.g. I&P based contact center reporting) and migration of end-of-life environments to target state architecture
- Establish and operate a Reporting Automation COE, a reporting platform that provides timely and accurate insights to operations leaders on the health of their teams and processes, control issues, and overall performance.
- Lead a team of data professionals, analysts and data scientists in the day-to-day delivery of their work (database maintenance, report development and production, ad hoc analytics).
- Drive the evolution of the I&P operating model, to ensure full alignment with business needs across DAR and with US-based DAR leaders
- Ensure the completion of risk-mitigating activities including code testing, peer review, consolidation of similar recurring processes and reports, and best-in-class documentation (i.e. BRDs, FSDs) that is structured for consistency and is easy to understand by multiple levels of reviewers, partners, and regulatory agents
- Drive DAR's people agenda in I&P, with a focus on the coaching and development of effective team managers
- 10+ years of Data and Analytics experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 6+ years of management experience
- 10+ years of direct BI (Tableau and/or Power BI) development experience
- 6+ years of experience managing data platforms (Teradata, Azure, Databricks)
- Experience managing virtually, including leading on- and offshore employees
- Experience successfully developing actionable data analytics and data strategies to inform, influence, and drive business outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong credible relationships with key stakeholder groups including executive management, regulatory examiners, and internal auditors
- Ability to motivate staff to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
- Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Experience attracting, retaining, developing, and motivating high performing teams that work well under pressure.
- Experience leading in a fast paced, demanding, and deadline driven environment
- Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners, when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence in a matrix environment
- Ability to influence without direct authority, create and manage (while achieving results) large-scale change and influence people at all levels of the organization.
