Wells Fargo's Global Payments & Liquidity (GPL) team is an integrated, forward-looking product organization with end-to-end payments, data, liquidity and associated lending solutions that enable our clients to achieve their business objectives in an evolving digital world.

As our GPL team moves forward with our Payments transformation, we are building out a marketing function and operating model to drive incremental sales growth. This leader will be responsible for defining a new brand strategy, platform and identity across channels, products, marketing, and experiences for GPL. This newly created role will report to the Head Marketing and Communications and will lead the team that operationalizes the new brand platform across the GPL organization. This team will play a pivotal role shaping the way customers view, interact with and leverage Global Payments and Liquidity products.

In this role, you will:
  • Provide executive thought leadership on branding and communications to support business growth strategies
  • Develop the overall internal and external communications strategy, plan, and execute content delivery to advance GPL priorities through internal channels and targeted external communications channels
  • Develop and implement the Customer Value Proposition defining a single narrative for internal/external messaging
  • Develop and execute a PR strategy to amplify integrated marketing communication efforts
  • Establish the GPL brand platform, strategy, governance, critical KPI/metrics, and operating/engagement model with stakeholders
  • Lead a multi-year strategic initiative to operationalize the GPL Brand Platform across products, channels, marketing, and employees
  • Own the agency relationships that will operationalize and execute brand initiatives
  • Establish the roadmap to re-define the GPL brand identity, visual and verbal expression
  • Serve as a key partner with the Enterprise Brand Strategy team, Corporate & Investment Banking, and Commercial Banking marketing and brand teams to integrate into the broader enterprise brand strategy, ensure synergy and provide thought leadership on behalf of GPL
  • Support Sales and drive incremental growth to meet financial goals through a more visible brand presence in the industry and among key decision makers with a single, differentiating narrative.
  • Partner with Marketing on a strategic and well executed integrated marketing communications plan targeting Segments prioritized for growth and investment.
  • Lead the Communications strategy across internal and external communications, and media relations, including Executive Thought Leadership strategy, planning, and execution advancing GPL priorities.
  • Partner closely with Strategy and Planning teams, Product and Segment Executives to advance their strategic growth plans.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years of Marketing, Digital Marketing, Digital Platforms, Social Media Marketing, Strategy, or Senior Business Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • 4+ years of Management experience
Desired Qualifications
  • Advanced level skills in brand management and communications
  • Experience developing and leading a brand strategy for a large, heavily matrixed organization or a top tier brand strategy agency.
  • Financial Institution experience preferred, payments and Treasury experience preferred, global business experience a plus
  • Experience in developing and executing communications brand strategies that drive market share, revenue and customer loyalty and aligning brand initiatives with business goals
  • Experience leading Business to Business branding and communication strategies
  • Experience with diverse segments marketing
  • Strong track record of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Proven experience developing and leading strategic discussions and influencing to generate decisions and actions.
  • Ability to be flexible and adjust plans quickly to meet changing business needs.
  • Enthusiasm and strong relationship building skills; ability to collaborate and influence across lines of business at multiple levels
  • Proven track record managing vendors and agency partners
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills with the ability to engage and influence a wide range of audiences at multiple levels within the organization
  • Self-motivation and be energetic and forward thinking, possessing integrity and high ethical standards.
Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$173,300.00 - $359,900.00
