Finance Data Domain Leader for Data Quality & Defect Management

About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking an experienced senior leader in the Finance Data Domain Management team to lead the execution and governance of Finance's data quality and defect management deliverables required to meet the enterprise Data Management Policy and Procedures and effectively manage data risk in Finance. The Data Management Policy and Procedures support Wells Fargo's management of data as strategic assets by establishing the companywide data management and governance process to confirm data is accurate, complete, timely, and adaptable to support operational and strategic business needs.

You will work with executives as well as RAU, Use Case (report and model) and data source owners across Finance to establish both Use Case data quality requirements and Data Source data quality controls. You will serve as the Finance lead for defect management and support policy-compliant defect identification and remediation processes. You will lead process improvement, tooling, and automation efforts on these deliverables to ensure policy compliance is supported by optimized processes and tooling. Establishing and maintaining a robust user training and support model will be a key accountability.

In this role, you will:

• Lead and develop teams of individual contributors and managers with a culture of talent development and high performance to deliver strong data risk management, automation and efficient data governance processes.

• Manage allocation of resources to ensure commitments are met and align with strategic objectives

• Execute Finance data domain's Data Quality and Defect Management governance controls ensuring appropriate management of data risk and adherence to Data Management Policy and Procedures

• Develop Data Quality and Defect Management control effectiveness metrics for Finance RAUs, use cases and data sources

• Develop stakeholder, executive and Finance Data Council reporting on Data Quality implementation plans and Defect remediation schedules and controls

• Support exams, audits, RCSA refresh, and other internal reviews of Finance domain Data Quality and Defect Management processes and controls

• Implement user training and support model for Finance Data Quality and Defect Management deliverables to be compliant with Data Management Policy and Procedures.

• Drive process improvement and automation on Finance domain's Data Quality and Defect Management processes

• Serve as Finance lead for ADMF (DMI's enterprise data management SOR) data and reporting requirements for Data Quality and Defect Management capabilities; including DMI and Finance assessment/selection of Data Quality strategic tools.

• Develop risk-mitigating and policy-compliant requirements for Data Quality and Defect Management artifact solutions developed for and used by Finance

• Represent the Finance domain in meeting peer-domain Data Quality requirements and Defect remediation commitments

Required Qualifications:

• 6+ years of Data Management, Business Research, Analytics, or Project Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

• 3+ years of Management experience

Desired Qualifications:

• Data management or risk management experience

• Data quality or defect management experience

• Strong analytical and critical thinking skills combined with strategic business focus

• Excellent communication skills, with proven ability to present complex financial, risk management and policy topics tailored to audiences of varying seniority and functions in order to create understanding and influence decisions
