About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Product Owner to join the Investment Portfolio Finance Capital Markets Product team. This role is responsible for partnering with business subject matter experts and technology to define and execute technology initiatives. The Finance Capital Markets Product team drives product strategy for Finance's Portfolio Management and Trading & Funding products, providing capabilities for securities, debt, and mortgage servicing rights portfolios as well as market-facing and accounting activities in support of balance sheet liquidity and interest rate risk strategies including hedging, collateral management, and securitization for Finance.

  • Lead cross functional teams to strategize, plan, and execute a variety of programs, services and initiatives
  • Drive accountability for assigned initiatives, limit risk exposure, and create efficiencies as appropriate
  • Review strategic approaches and effectiveness of support function and business performance
  • Perform assessments through fact finding and data requiring creative approaches to solving complex issues, and develop appropriate solutions or recommendations
  • Make decisions in highly complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business group's functional area or products, facilitate decision making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans
  • Collaborate and consult with members of the Business Execution team and team leaders to drive strategic initiatives
  • Influence, guide and lead less experienced Strategy and Execution staff within the group
  • Demonstrate the ability to be adaptable to a dynamic and quickly changing, fast paced work environment where priorities or focus may shift frequently.

Required Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of Business Execution, Implementation, or Strategic Planning experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education

Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+years in Capital Market industry with knowledge in fixed income assets
  • 5+ years in technology implementation leveraging SDLC/Agile/waterfall
  • Experience in developing and documenting roadmaps for technology/business process implementation
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to take on a high level of responsibility, initiative, and accountability
  • Ability to prioritize work, meet deadlines, achieve goals, and work under pressure in a dynamic and complex environment
  • Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to quickly establish credibility to build and maintain effective working relationships
  • Ability to provide leadership to a matrixed organization environment
