In this role, you will:

  • Participate in low complexity initiatives to drive overall effectiveness of team in preparing data and assisting in research on product line, operational, and strategic planning
  • Review variance and trend analyses tasks or initiatives that require planning, evaluation, and interpretation
  • Support operational aspects of work including maintaining financial data, validating accuracy, preparing and analyzing operations and strategic plans
  • Prioritize work and provide day-to-day-work leadership and mentorship to Finance team
  • Develop understanding of model compliance and risk management requirements for supported area
  • Lead or contribute to implementation of new or revised processes and procedures that require coordination among various teams
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues and managers to resolve issues and achieve goals

  • 6+ months of Finance experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Knowledgeable in following complex products: fixed income derivatives, equity derivatives, credit derivatives, municipal derivatives, syndications, etc.
  • Excellent problem solving, analytical and technical skills with ability to apply critical judgment and come up with effective decisions.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills and proficiency for detailed documentation with ability to validate work.
  • High proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ability to maximize use of formulas and functions to streamline reporting needs.
  • Ability to adapt to a fast paced environment and perform under pressure with a high motivation and able to meet stringent deadlines with strong sense of urgency and results and detail orientation.
  • Ability to plan, prioritize and execute a body of work with minimal supervision.
  • Exceptional research and exception handling skills.
  • Flexibility to work in night shifts, or weekends/holidays if deemed necessary by the business.
  • Possess an impeccable reputation for integrity, accuracy, consistency and business acumen.
  • Ability to present and discuss information in a manner that persuades, educates, and enhances understanding at all levels.
Job Expectations:
  • Reviews the reconciliation files, and evaluation of the breaks of Principal and Interest that do not match what was provided by Custodians, for Assets-Held-For Sale and Held to Maturity portfolios, against common reconciling item such as security data not available the prior day due to a late feed, prepayment variances of mortgage backed bonds, structured trades, etc. Research is done using internal and external source systems.
  • Reviews the remaining breaks on a bond by bond basis for research and resolution after the common reconciling items have been resolved.
  • Researches and resolves testing defects that are caused by inaccurate, failed or missing data.
  • Producing ad hoc queries and reports to assist in business analysis and project execution.
  • Participating in status meetings/calls, project planning and verbal and written updates.
  • Training and mentoring other team members to promote continued development on the process.
  • Amenable to night shift and working onsite in Taguig
