About this role:

The Credit Risk Intelligence and Transformation team (CRIT) is looking for an Executive Director to lead business process redesign, tech product execution, strategy development, roadmap planning, agile delivery, executive communications, and other critical responsibilities related to our multi-year investment, product management, and transformation efforts. CRIT reports directly into Wells Fargo's Chief Credit Officer with mandate across the enterprise and all Wells Fargo lines of business.

In particular, our team is part of the Corporate Credit Risk organization and functions as product managers across the current and target state product areas of the platform, including UI/UX, Digital, Analytics, Reporting, and Data. Our team is responsible for reimagining how data, technology, and digital enables critical Credit Risk business processes, including but not limited to problem loan management, loss forecasting, allowance and stress testing, portfolio monitoring, policy management, regulatory reporting, credit business intelligence, and management analytics.

This senior role will be responsible for standing up and leading a high-profile business initiative to transform and redesign critical Credit Risk processes with a focus on end-to-end technology redesign.

Product mindset, data-driven problem-solving, design thinking, user-centered innovation, and modern engineering principles are cornerstones of how we work, unlock value for the business, and partner with key stakeholders. Critical to success will be working closely with user community, senior executives, and other Risk and Business stakeholders to balance near-term priorities and long-term transformation goals.

Additionally, this role will act as a senior product manager responsible for leading multiple cross-functional product teams of engineers, architects, business analysts, designers, scrum masters, and other SMEs in turning vision, strategy, and requirements into roadmaps and agile backlogs as well as experiments, proofs of concept, MVPs, and ongoing iterative product releases.

This is a unique opportunity for joining a fast-growing Product Management organization with the highly visible mandate to transform end-to-end Risk business processes through next-gen data capabilities, digital innovation, and process automation. This role will report directly to the senior product leader responsible for the multi-year transformation strategy and execution.

In this product management and transformation leadership role, you will:
  • Lead end-to-end process diagnostic and reengineering efforts with a focus on achieving business effectiveness and delivering efficiencies.
  • Own the all aspects of business process transformation - starting with current state documentation, process redesign, product strategy definition, technology execution, and change management.
  • Lead the research, design, execution, and implementation of multiple new credit risk data, analytics, digital, and workflow products aimed at solving critical business problems.
  • Own the multi-year product roadmap and strategy for multiple product areas comprising of several new capabilities; actively work with senior stakeholders to communicate vision, influence outcomes, secure buy-in, and maintain sponsorship throughout the years.
  • Independently plan and lead all strategic planning, product discovery, and user research activities needed to identify user problems, validate hypotheses, define business Objectives and Key Results (OKRs), and outline use case scope.
  • Inspire, mentor, and coach all members of cross-functional product teams in participating and leading product discovery sessions throughout the lifecycle.
  • Deliver solutions that are long-term, large-scale, and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking, and coordination of highly complex activities and guidance to others.
  • Partner with executive management across Wells Fargo to define the business strategy then create and execute corresponding business plans while influencing outcomes and securing buy-in.
  • Collaborate closely with Engineering leadership and Tech scrum teams to ensure vision alignment and efficient delivery.
  • Lead and participate in formal and informal stakeholder sessions, including steering committees, product cabinets, change management forums, big room planning sessions, PI planning, etc.
  • Prepare executive-level communications on Product scope, approach, solution and value drivers.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Risk Analytics experience or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Product Management, Business Transformation, Data, Analytics, Reporting, Management Consulting, Project Management, Strategic Planning, or Technology experience.
  • 5+ years of professional experience working directly with Technology teams in managing agile delivery of multiple products.
  • Experience consulting, influencing, and partnering in a matrixed environment.
  • Ability to craft and execute a strategic roadmap.
  • Strong analytical skills - using data to drive strategy and prioritization.
  • Experience in the banking and financial sectors, particularly related to Lending, Credit, and/or Risk Management.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
