About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Enterprise Risk Specialist

In this role, you will:

  • Participate in or provide support for responsible oversight and strategic direction of enterprise risk, governance and reporting programs and low complexity initiatives within Enterprise Risk
  • Review moderately complex business, operational, or technical challenges that require an in depth evaluation of variable factors
  • Provide oversight and challenge for corporate governance risk programs that may cover multiple front lines with moderate to high risk
  • Present recommendations for resolving more complex situations and exercise independent judgment while developing expertise in the enterprise risk, policies, procedures and compliance requirements
  • Assist with the development, implementation, and monitoring of risk based governance programs, companywide
  • Guide and direct the organization in terms of policies, effectiveness of companywide initiative execution, and reporting to the Board
  • Collaborate and consult with risk colleagues, internal partners and stakeholders, including internal and external customers if applicable
  • Identify training opportunities and may design and coordinate development of training materials and delivers training
  • Compile risk reporting, performs research and delivers reporting

  • 2+ years of experience in Risk Management (includes Compliance, Financial Crimes, Operational Risk, Audit, Legal, Credit Risk, Market Risk, IT Systems Security, Business Process Management) or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • Supporting the Enterprise Issue Management & Escalations policy adherence program through development and execution of test scripts and quarterly adherence reporting
  • Need to be able to develop outcome-based testing strategies to evaluate adherence to EIM policy
  • Strong exposure in risk -> control -> control effectiveness phase, to be able to evaluate potential exposure and residual risk
  • Strong "soft skills" in working with front line teams - need to be able to handle tough personalities without creating conflict, but also able to hold-the-line
  • Strong written skills - will need to document desktop procedures, write memos, and create presentations for senior front line leadership.
  • Experience with SHRP-IM and the EIM dashboard a plus.
  • Performs effective and timely execution of test scripts following established program procedures and routines
  • Conducts analysis on population datasets, enhances testing strategies and methodologies, and supports issue management program reporting
  • Maintain strong partnership and engagement with Control Executive Group Issue Management teams to gain a clear understanding of their issue management processes, roles, and responsibilities.
  • 2+ years of overall professional experience in risk assessment, control testing/evaluation and issue management on various risk types
  • 2+ years of experience in risk management
  • 2+ years of testing/QA experience (may include audit, compliance, regulatory compliance, controls testing, quality assurance)
  • Advanced Microsoft Office skills
  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills, also adept in documentation
  • Strong analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy; strong critical thinker
  • Industry recognized risk certifications such as CRISC / CRM
  • Financial Services Issue Management Experience
  • Knowledge of Wells Fargo Issue Management policy
  • Experience with the Wells Fargo Risk Management Framework
  • Experience in working with the RSA ARCHER or Shared Risk Platform (SHRP)
  • Broad knowledge of operational risks and issues faced by financial institutions today
  • Strong knowledge on enterprise risks i.e. front office and middle office processes/controls would be considered as an added advantage.
  • Knowledge of testing platforms, Test Script Design & Detail Oriented work ethics
  • Experience providing "credible challenge" to business partners when necessary, with the ability to lead through influence
  • Experience in assessing test scope, designing test scripts, and executing, documenting, and reporting on compliance testing
  • Experience in testing policy and procedures/control testing.
  • Experience in leading compliance reviews and or engagements
  • Experience in effectively interacting with a broad range of risk professionals, senior management and regulators
  • Experience in analyzing and interpreting complex data and information, and translating it into clear digestible information per the audience
