About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Digital Event Planner/Producer. This person will be part of the Wells Fargo Meetings and Events (WFME) team and will be responsible for planning, producing and successfully executing complex digital and hybrid events for Business Groups and Enterprise Functions. The Wells Fargo job title is Lead Events Management Specialist.

In this role, you will:

  • Lead, plan, manage and execute on all digital aspects of major/enterprise level, multi-day meetings, conferences, or events with a high level of complexity
  • As the subject matter expert, lead discussions with business partners on scope, providing guidance and recommendations on platforms, logistics, communication methodologies and contingency planning based on the meeting requirements throughout the digital event lifecycle
  • Manage a large number of meetings or events simultaneously, driving each forward as the lead planner and main point of contact to ensure target deliverables and deadlines are met
  • Collaborate with business partners on format, agenda, and all aspects of meeting to plan, advise, review, and monitor program budgets
  • Partner with Sourcing & Contracting on RFPs and vendor bids to match program needs and support on negotiating service needed to execute on programs
  • Host or co-host various digital platforms for a meeting or event which includes monitoring the stream, validating, and managing attendees, producing, and operating platform features and troubleshooting technical issues presented by attendees/speakers
  • Act as event director with governance and/or oversight on all aspects of digital or hybrid event production that includes identifying key resources then delegating roles and responsibilities for pre-event, day of and post-event activities
  • Collaborate with the WFME Digital Team leads to learn and remain current on the latest information on platforms, legal, risk and compliance requirements for Business Groups and Enterprise Functions
  • Be responsible for ensuring event related risks are mitigated while regulatory and compliance requirements are adhered to
  • Collaborate with key resources in Wells Fargo-owned event sites, Connections, to confirm approved Wells Fargo digital platforms can successfully integrate or leverage existing technology in Connections meeting spaces
  • Determine the feasibility of approved Wells Fargo digital platforms when leveraging external venues, such as hotels, taking into account the available audio video equipment, connectivity, and technology while at the same time driving cost efficiencies when possible
  • Act as the main point of contact for external AV suppliers, working with the AV producer, event hosts and/or key stakeholders to establish timelines for submission of content, materials and other information needed to successfully execute a digital or hybrid meeting or event
  • Create run of shows and lead speaker prep calls and dry run rehearsals for events assigned
  • Document an After-Action Report (post-mortem) if any issues arise during the event then uses the information gathered to mitigate risks or prevent failures to occur on future digital meetings or events
  • Adhere to WFME policies, processes, and SLAs (Service Level Agreements) including those around regularly updating event information in WFME's event management tool in order to maintain clean data
  • Build and maintain knowledge of Wells Fargo business line structure and processes
Required Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of Event Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of corporate meeting & event planning experience in the financial services industry
  • 3+ years of experience working in a digital or hybrid production and streaming environment
  • 3+ years of experience hosting or leading digital events using various platforms such as Zoom, Microsoft Teams, Microsoft Teams Live Events, Kaltura, Intrado, Webex, Adobe Connect, Blue Jeans or similar streaming/collaboration platforms
  • Experience partnering with AV production companies
  • Ability to multitask and balance numerous meetings/events simultaneously
  • Certification on digital event strategy and execution from the AV or meeting and event professional organization
  • CMP (Certified Meeting Planner) designation
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment
  • A highly collaborative work style with flexibility to adapt to business changes
  • Familiarity working with Cvent and/or other similar event management tools
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel 10% of the time
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $179,200.00
