About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Senior Lead Data Science Consultant in Deposit Transaction Analytics within Consumer Data, Analytics, and Artificial Intelligence. This enterprise COE team, aligned to the Deposit Products and Payments organizations, studies all facets of transaction activity, money movement, channel preferences, and customer experience so we can better understand and fulfill our deposit customers' financial service needs. In this role, you will:

  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the company to drive recommendations and strategies to senior leadership based on data-driven advanced analytics, statistical techniques, algorithms, or models
  • Lead the diagnosis and resolution of highly complex business challenges requiring in-depth hypothesis generation and advanced analytics
  • Analyze and interpret deposit transactions data, using advanced analytics modeling methods and programming, to recommend ways to solve problems and influence business decisions and strategies
  • Communicate actionable insights and recommendations in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels, including leadership, across the company
  • Act as a subject matter expert on our internal data, as well as evolving trends in customer behavior and the banking/payments industry as a whole
  • Mentor colleagues across locations and provide consultation on data science best practices, methods, and tools to leverage
Required Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of data science experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
  • Master's degree or higher in a quantitative discipline such as mathematics, statistics, engineering, physics, economics, or computer science
Desired Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of hands-on experience with complex relational databases
  • Expertise in advanced analytic modeling methods including linear and logistic regression, decision trees, etc.
  • Expertise in SQL coding and data visualization
  • Experience communicating insights and recommendations using data in a digestible format to a non-technical audience of varying levels, including leadership
  • Financial Services experience
Job Expectations:
  • Ability to travel up to 5% travel
  • This position offers a hybrid work schedule

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$120,400.00 - $287,600.00
