About this role:

Wells Fargo is seeking a Platform Management Principal Engineer for Cybersecurity. In this newly created position the selected candidate will be responsible for design and engineering solutions on computer hardware, software, and networking tools to support cybersecurity platform management.

In this role, you will:

  • Act as an advisor to leadership to develop or influence applications, network, information security, database, operating systems, or web technologies for highly complex business and technical needs across multiple groups
  • Lead the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges requiring in-depth evaluation across multiple areas or the enterprise, delivering solutions that are long-term, large-scale and require vision, creativity, innovation, advanced analytical and inductive thinking
  • Translate advanced technology experience, an in-depth knowledge of the organizations tactical and strategic business objectives, the enterprise technological environment, the organization structure, and strategic technological opportunities and requirements into technical engineering solutions
  • Provide vision, direction and expertise to leadership on implementing innovative and significant business solutions
  • Maintain knowledge of industry best practices and new technologies and recommends innovations that enhance operations or provide a competitive advantage to the organization
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across the enterprise and serve as an expert advisor to leadership

  • Strong operations and application support background with an expertise in writing code, building automation and enabling DEVOPS and SRE practices.
• Apply technology background in software engineering, SRE, multi-cloud platform management, DevOps, CI/CD, Observability, and Continuous Testing to deliver and introduce new technology capabilities to solve operational issues in a multi-cloud technology landscape

• Ensure the applications are available as per service level contracts establishing SLO/SLIs with customers and application owners, have full-stack observability, and are integrated with CI/CD and always-on by introducing continuous improvement through code, automation, self-healing/autonomic capabilities, APIs, continuous testing (performance, smoke, regression, functional, chaos) and providing operational insight through analytics.

• Assess the availability of critical business flows, identify service level objectives and indicators, and conduct destructive and resiliency testing to reach 99.995% availability for the firm's critical products and services leading to improved customer experience and customer satisfaction.

• Instrument applications for enterprise observability through Application Monitoring, Logging, Visualization, Analytics, and AI/ML.

• Explore continuous inspection capabilities code quality to identify problems before they manifest in production.
  • Share support responsibilities for critical applications, responding to high severity incidents for critical applications to eliminate impact, identify systemic issues, conduct blameless postmortems, root cause analysis, and introduce strategic solutions in code that solve the problem and eliminate repeat issues.
Required Qualifications:
  • 7+ years of Engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
Desired Qualifications:
  • 5+ years of front end software engineering experience
  • 5+ years of experience working with vendor software, technologies and tools that are enterprise solutions
  • 5+ years of product development or product management experience
  • 3+ years of build-deploy automation and configuration experience within the Linux and Unix environment
  • 5+ years of .net experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Cloud technologies
  • 5 + years of experience developing or supporting IT Service Management solutions (e.g. Incident Management, Change Management, Asset Management and Configuration Management)
  • 5+ years of application production support experience
  • 3+ years of experience with Waterfall and Agile project methodologies
  • Advanced understanding of IT industry frameworks including ITIL, IT4IT, COBIT
  • Ability to interact with all levels of an organization
  • Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
  • An industry-standard technology certification
  • BS/BA degree or higher in a related field
Job Expectations:
  • This is not a remote position. Candidates are required to work in the office three (3) days per week at the specified location

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$144,400.00 - $300,000.00
