About this role:
Wells Fargo's CIB Fund Finance Group is seeking a Corporate Banking Associate to join its Portfolio Reporting, Monitoring & Analytics team.
The Fund Finance Group provides financing to private equity funds and other asset managers through structured credit facilities. Fund Finance is part of the Corporate and Investment Bank (CIB).
The Corporate Banking Associate role will be involved with various aspects of the business, with a focus on overseeing and preparing ongoing portfolio monitoring, various regulatory reporting, credit administration activities, Control and Audit issue management, and financial forecasting and budgeting. The role will also involve partnering with Fund Finance Group's senior leadership team and offshore India team to refine and develop various portfolio management processes for the business.

In this role, you will:
- Prepare and review Fund Finance portfolio monitoring reports shared with senior management and risk partners, including monthly analytics reporting, monitoring of Key Risk Indicators, exposure reporting, and other data analytics critical to the ongoing management of the portfolio.
- Oversee and lead the administration of various portfolio monitoring activities such as loan compliance monitoring, financial statement processing, legal security filing processes, and other activities focused on the monitoring of a growing Fund Finance portfolio.
- Prepare weekly deal pipeline reporting and financial forecasting shared with internal stakeholders and senior management.
- Partner with Fund Finance's India team to oversee the preparation of ongoing portfolio reporting used for both internal and external stakeholders.
- Support various ad-hoc business initiatives surrounding new regulatory or risk-driven reporting requirements, buildout of analytics supporting new product development, and onboarding of new technology to the business.
- Prepare and review ad-hoc portfolio data requests from internal stakeholders such as Credit partners, internal audit, Control partners, and external parties such as regulators.
- Support business growth via the development and implementation of portfolio management and reporting processes pertaining to new products.
- Liaising with various internal stakeholders including senior leadership, bankers, credit partners, and India-based team members to understand and refine existing reporting and data needs.
- Maintaining various databases and spreadsheet models used for internal reporting and surveillance
- 2+ years of Corporate Banking Relationship Management experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education
- 2+ years of experience in portfolio analytics, credit administration, and/or business management at a major firm with a focus in finance
- Bachelor's degree in business, Finance, Accounting, Math, Economics or Engineering (or MBA)
- Prior experience working at a financial institution within a lending business focused on portfolio monitoring, credit administration, or reporting and analytics
- Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and accuracy are critical to the role
- Strong Excel skills, including experience building macros and use of VBA
- Self-starter who can proactively identify areas for improvement across the business
- Strong communication skills and ability to clearly articulate and distill complex subjects in a succinct manner
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
- Effective organizational, multi-tasking, and prioritizing skills
- Solid problem solving and decision-making skills
- Ability to work effectively, as well as independently, in a team environment
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline driven environment
- Base Salary - $125,000 - $135,000 USD
Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$111,100.00 - $237,100.00
