Consumer Lending Senior Business Accountability Specialist

Wells Fargo is seeking two Senior Business Accountability Specialist to join its Consumer Lending Shared Services Risk Enablement Program team. In this role, you will:

  • Lead or participate in moderately complex initiatives and delivering insight and decision strategies within Fraud Risk and contribute to large-scale planning related to Consumer Lending Risk Program Enablement team.
  • Review and analyze moderately complex data aggregation, forecasting, and reporting.
  • Be responsible for Fraud Risk Reporting requirements, including, but not limited to, Net Fraud Loss Plan, CL Fraud Forecast, General Ledger Reporting, CL Fraud Metrics Dashboard, Management reporting, etc.
  • Collaborate and consult with peers, experienced managers, compliance, and technology to resolve modeling / forecasting, and achieve analytic and reporting goals.
  • Monitor and track key metrics and complete root cause analysis.
  • Partner with Business, Enterprise Functions, and IRM/Compliance partners
  • Independently make decisions and resolve moderately complex issues while leveraging solid understanding of the business's functional area across Consumer Lending Products, processes and risk types, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; lead peers and key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives.
  • Create immediate awareness to key leaders when/if an observation, issue, or other concern is being discussed during the engagement.
  • Act as a Business Accountability advisor to leadership to drive performance and initiatives and develop and implement information delivery or presentations to key stakeholders and senior management.
  • Key contributor to the strategy and resolution of highly complex and unique challenges related to Change Execution that require solid analytical skills, extensive knowledge of risk and controls, and understanding of business, delivering longer term and large-scale solutions.
  • Provide vision, direction, and expertise to senior leadership for implementing innovative and significant business solutions that are large scale and cross organizational.
  • Lead team meetings or steering committee to facilitate decision making and support implementation of recommendations and plans.
  • Strategically engage with all levels of professionals and managers across multiple lines of businesses and serve as an experienced advisor to the leadership.
  • Provide direction to a cross functional team using business expertise.
  • Be accountable for managing large sets of change initiatives that are most complex and typically include multiple systems, crosses multiple lines of business, and has process/procedural components to them.
  • Seek counsel of peers, stakeholders, change leaders and/or product leaders in times of strategically complex or critical ambiguity and adapts planning, communications, and engagements.
  • Communicate frequently to the project team, sponsor, portfolio sponsor, portfolio leader, product leader and stakeholders while maintaining cooperative, motivated, and successful teams.

  • 4+ years of risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, military experience, education.
Desired Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of experience with procedure and control documentation
  • 3 + years of fraud risk experience
  • 2+years' experience in Fraud Loss Planning and forecasting
  • 2 + years' experience credit risk
  • Leads significant initiatives and processes, and partners with line of business management to drive the company risk management culture and business performance with inputs from senior leadership.
  • Assesses and predicts risk and performance through business analysis and/or modeling. Establishes effective policies, processes, and tools to identify and manage risks.
  • Maintain / Develops comprehensive monitoring frameworks and dashboards and provide statistically sound diagnostic evaluation of any emerging or unexpected risk areas to facilitate faster decision making.
  • Partner with other business units, Audit, Legal, regulators, and industry partners on risk related topics.
  • Detailed understanding of risk domain; Strong Risk analytics skills and understanding of General Ledger and P&L drivers.
  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills
  • Ability to gather, analyze, package, and present analytical findings in an insightful and logical manner.
  • Attention to detail, strong partnership, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to identify and evaluate trends, isolate root cause, and provide swift/thorough resolution.
  • Organize, facilitate, track activities, and provide regular status updates and support to Consumer Lending Executives and/or their direct reports as well as senior leadership and key stakeholders as appropriate.
  • Ability to interpret spirit and letter of requirements to make substantiated risk-based decisions.
  • Making decisions or recommendations to business partners on a risk-based matters and approach on potentially ambiguous or subjective scenarios.
  • Engage in multiple initiatives simultaneously and meet aggressive deadlines amid shifting priorities.
  • Experience identifying and driving process improvements in a complex banking environment.
  • Ability to engage, influence, and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders to deliver results.
  • Ability to draft and present to senior management in a clear and concise manner in written and oral form.
  • Quickly develop SME expert skills and awareness of overall organization and support functions.
  • Ability to take initiative and work independently with minimal supervision in a structured environment.
  • Identify metrics and measures and provide updates on procedures.
  • Experience developing detailed delivery plans with clear deliverables and timeline.

Pay Range

Reflected is the base pay range offered for this position. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to achievements, skills, experience, or work location. The range listed is just one component of the compensation package offered to candidates.
$84,000.00 - $149,400.00
